One naturally expects a welcoming and friendly atmosphere in a medical or dental office. So, it was unusual to hear my friend Nancy say that she loves her dentist! On her advice, I made an appointment with Dr. Weimer at Boise River Dental. My first appointment found the office warm and relaxed, from the staff to the pictures & furnishings. The surprise was the way I was treated. People at my age often find their comments, concerns, and actual wishes to be greeted with a superior attitude and the disrespectful tone that says we cannot possibly know our own mind. No such thing here. I was listened to with care and understanding. Whether discussing my condition or my finances, I was shown respect, and often Dr. Weimer spoke what I was feeling before I actually said it! It was quite refreshing to be understood, respected, and to agree on a treatment plan with a dentist who actually cares about how I feel and the integrity of our doctor-patient relationship. He could have outlined an extensive plan that would take weeks, and presented it as absolutely necessary. Other dentists have done so, bar none. But instead, I heard "Let's take care of this urgent problem, in the least expensive way possible. Then, if you have pain in this other area, you call us and we'll help you as efficiently as can be done. No need to do that unless you want it done." I chose to make a new patient appointment with Boise River Dental because of the reviews. I’m not gonna lie, I thought it was crazy that a dental office could have almost 900 reviews, AND 5-stars. But, after going to my appointment, I can see why. The receptionist, Maddie, was very welcoming. My hygienist, Danielle, was so friendly. She made sure to explain everything she was doing before she did it, genuinely educated me, and was super accommodating to a request I had prior to getting x-rays (Danielle, if you are reading this, thank you for the salt. IYKYK)🤣. Dr. Weimer then came in the room. He was very kind, made me aware of his priorities as far as my care is concerned, and did a thorough exam. Throughout the whole experience, I didn’t feel rushed at all, which I really admire in any sort of doctor visits. I will definitely be returning. Last thing, if you are hesitant about how long it takes to get a new patient appointment, I promise it’s worth it.

The office staff is always pleasant, organized and extremely efficient. The dental hygienist was very friendly and efficient at her job. She went out of her way to make sure I was as comfortable as possible while cleaning my teeth. She was nothing but professional. Dr Travis Weimer is always thorough and professional with every aspect of his business. Thanks, to the whole staff.

Jasmine was my hygienist she was friendly, easy to talk to and has a nice technique. I felt very comfortable. Dr. Weimer clearly loves what he does and cares about his patients. Visiting my folks from out of state and lost a filling. They got me in the next morning! Have to say the whole experience was awesome, from the staff to the filling, great job!

I hadn’t been to the dentist in what I can only guess has been about a decade and was embarrassed about that timeline. The check in process was quick and easy (I did my paperwork online prior to coming in). Maggie the hygienist was very kind and walked me through everything that was happening and checked in to make sure I wasn’t in pain or feeling any sensitivity to the water or air. Dr. Weimer was also very kind and explained everything. He listened to me on what my goals were for my teeth and helped me understand different options ma on how to get my smile back to where I want it to be. 100% would recommend this team.
