Was quoted $300 for a new patient exam and x-rays. It’s unbelievable that these second rate Drs seek to make exorbitant profits on x-rays that don’t cost nearly as much to run.

I was deathly afraid of any dentist until I suffered a painful toothache. My coworker suggested I go to Rose City and see Dr. Tae. I called the office and they graciously squeezed me in the following morning! Thank God. The pain was so bad I couldn't sleep. He removed the tooth and it didn't hurt at all. I even came back later on and had another extraction. No pain. Now my summer is all booked up at the dentist! My point is, if you're afraid of dentists like I was, this place removed all those fears and worries. They have a very gentle approach and are caring and friendly. I live on the other side of town and I'll always come back here for my toothy needs! Im no longer afraid to see the dentist.

The desk attendants are kind and patient, the assistants are caring and attentive, but the dentist prolonged and worsened my pain, costing me money and needless suffering. I called to schedule an emergancy appointment with Rose City because my usual dentist (OHSU School of Dentistry) has closed their urgent clinic for the month while students graduated, Rose City Dental got me in days later. I told the dentist I had intense molar pain that required a root canal or extraction. He diagnosed me with pulpitis after barely being in the room and rushing through the appointment, filing down the surface of my irritated molar, and told me to come back next week for a root canal if the pain persisted while leaving me to struggle managing an intense flair of pain he caused. When I was still in pain the next week, he didn't bother to take more than 15 minuets with me (and inflaming my tooth again) to tell me that he wanted to "preserve healthy teeth", refuse to perform a root canal, and give me a referral to a root canal specialist out of office that would cost me 400$ out of pocket for the exam fee alone. I called the referral, was told that I wasn't "in their system", and still haven't heard back from them a week after. When the OHSU urgent dental clinic opened again at the start of this month, they got me in the day after I called, thoroughly diagnosed me within an hour while treating me with compassion, and removed my unrecoverable fractured molar the same day. They also mentioned that the filing of my molar would have been exasterbating my pain. The appointment took two hours and they remedied a month's worth of pain that the dentist at Rose City Dental had prolonged and intensified needlessly. Perhaps it's for the better that he didn't get a chance to ruin my mouth further by attempting his own extraction. If you're looking for cost effective care that manages your pain while treating you with respect and dignity, OHSU School of Dentistry will take care of you. If you want to go broke and suffer, Rose City Dental will gladly take you.

I had a dental emergency yesterday and Dr. Lee and his staff were able to get me in last minute/ same day (and worked on their lunch break to see me!). They took such good care of me! They were very kind and took their time to explain the procedure options I had and made sure I understood/ was comfortable during the entire experience. Such lovely people and very calm experience- which doesn’t always get associated with going to the dentist :) I highly recommend this practice and team!

This is great dental office with a friendly and helpful team. I have been in for several issues from basic cleanings to crowns and a root canal and have always felt listened to and supported. They work quickly and act like a well oiled machine from the front desk staff to the Dr himself. Dr Tae always makes me laugh and I love the playful banter he has with his staff. As far as dentist offices go, this is one of the most welcoming and comfortable environments.

I had the most uncomfortable experience I’ve ever had at a dental office. Made an appointment for a routine cleaning. I was called back for x-rays 30 minutes after my appointment time, and then the hygienist made it her only job to ensure that I was a thousand percent COMPLETELY AWARE that I do not have healthy gums and it would therefore be a waste of her time to do a standard cleaning. Having some serious dental anxiety (which was explicitly communicated multiple times before being seen), I started to cry and asked if we could just do a standard one, since I’d already worked up to coming in today, and she ran out of the room with, “I’m not comfortable with this.” The dentist already said my teeth weren’t that bad, but now you want me to leave and come back AGAIN for a deep clean? No, you people double-booked your appointments and I got stuck in the crossfire. Absolutely garbage patient “care”.

Phenomenal work. They were able to get me in the morning I broke a tooth and was in incredible pain. The root canal was done within an hour. The follow up care, cleanings, and crown were all reasonably priced, worked with my insurance, and well done. The staff and doctors are friendly, kind, and understanding. 10/10, would recommend.

My adventure here started with an incredibly painful infected tooth. They got me in the next day and off we went. The tooth had to be extracted, which Dr. Tae did with pliers in the parking lot. Saved me a lot of $. Seriously, Dr. Tae and Kristin(sp) were awesome! They patiently answered all my questions, walked me through the process, and made the extraction experience, dare I say...comfortable and easy. And while Dr. Tae has a great sense of humor and enjoys a good laugh, he is very professional, caring, knowledgeable, and humble. Before the extraction took place they explained 3 options and associated costs for the gap left by the extraction. And as dental work can get expensive, and we didn't have dental insurance we chose to utilize the Membership Plan they offer. This was great as it allowed us to plan ahead for procedures, saving as necessary. My wife and I have been going for over 2 years now, and from the moment you walk in the door, everyone that works there is great! We appreciate them, the positive nature of the office, and the overall experience! Thank you!

Just went for my first cleaning with them, and it went great! The staff was all super friendly, the cleaning was easy peasy, the technician taking my X-rays was super patient (I've never been great at getting my very back teeth x-ray'd). Would recommend!

So like most people I have always hated the dentist. So much so i rarely went. I even had great dental insurance most of my life with my job. Still, I only went if there was a problem. Well I’m 50 and I had problems. Knowing I will probably need dentures, I made an appointment with a dentist close to my house. Which just so happened to be rose city dental. Man, did I luck out? Yes I did! I’m so happy to have chosen this place. They have made me feel comfortable from the very first visit. I can’t say enough good about this whole dental practice. The staff and everyone is great!
