About Salinas Valley Dental Care

Salinas Valley Dental Care is located on South Main Street in Salinas, serving families across the Salinas Valley with a mix of everyday and restorative dentistry. It is structured to be a practice patients can stay with as their needs change, covering routine visits while remaining equipped for the more substantial work that comes with age and time. The foundation is family and general dentistry, with cleanings and regular checkups handling the preventive care that keeps teeth healthy. The family orientation means patients of different ages can share one office, simplifying scheduling for parents managing care for several people. This steady, recurring care is what most patients build their relationship with the practice around. Restorative dentistry is a notable strength. Dental implants and dentures give patients ways to replace missing teeth, and full-mouth rehabilitation addresses more complex cases where wear or loss has affected many teeth at once. Wisdom teeth removal handles the extractions that often arise in younger patients. For those who feel anxious or face longer procedures, sedation dentistry helps make involved appointments more comfortable to get through. The practice also treats TMJ/TMD, addressing jaw pain, clicking, and related tension that affect daily comfort, an area many general offices refer out. On the cosmetic and orthodontic side, teeth whitening brightens smiles and Invisalign offers a clear-aligner path to straighter teeth for teens and adults. Emergency dentistry gives patients somewhere to turn quickly when problems can't wait, and an emphasis on affordable care keeps it accessible. Salinas Valley Dental Care suits families and individuals who want dependable everyday dentistry with genuine restorative depth close to home. Its South Main Street location keeps it convenient for residents across Salinas, and the blend of routine, restorative, and comfort-focused care means one practice can follow patients through many stages of their dental lives. For a Salinas family where one person needs a routine cleaning, another faces dentures or full-mouth work, and a third dreads the chair, the spread of services and sedation on South Main Street lets them all stay with one trusted office over the years.

On South Main Street in Salinas, Salinas Valley Dental Care blends family and general dentistry with implants, dentures, full-mouth rehabilitation, Invisalign, sedation, and TMJ/TMD treatment, geared toward households and patients needing restorative work.

Came in yesterday at 4:41pm and they were closed even though online it said it was open also 3 weeks ago came in on a Sunday and they were also closed. Would be better to update online with proper time. When I came in 9 min after my appt between the grace period they offer the hygienist didn’t want to clean my teeth and only do the Xray then proceeded to call the manager instead of going with trying to get the cleaning. I was then charged extra money for a deep cleaning or she wasn’t gonna clean my teeth at all.

I had the biggest phobia about going to the dentist due to my past trauma when I was younger. I had the best experience with Dr.Martinez she was gentle and made me feel comfortable. Even after the extraction and deep cleaning there was no pain. I was very impressed and now I'm even looking forward to my next dental appointment. All staff was wonderful and very pleasant. I would recommend to friends and family even strangers. Thank you Salinas Valley dental. ❤️

Lately, my experience with Salinas Valley dental care has been extremely frustrating. It has become very difficult to reach someone in the front desk, and when finally I do. I’m told that someone will call me back, but I never receive a return call. I recently called to request an emergency appointment only to be scheduled nearly 3 weeks later, which is unacceptable for an urgent dental issue.

My son had his first dental procedure today at Salinas Valley Dental Care, and it truly couldn't have gone any better! Dr. Goodman was absolutely amazing—kind, caring, funny, and knew exactly what to say to help him feel comfortable every step of the way. She made what could have been a scary experience feel easy. He handled all of the numbing shots like a champ, happily watched *The Sandlot*, and even got to cuddle the stuffed animal, Carl. A huge thank you as well to Alexandria, the dental assistant, who was so friendly, patient, and accommodating. She went out of her way to make sure my son felt as comfortable as possible throughout the entire experience, and her kindness did not go unnoticed. As a parent, hearing the way Dr. Goodman and Alexandria spoke to my son and seeing the genuine care they showed him completely put me at ease. They turned what could have been a stressful appointment into such a positive experience. We are incredibly grateful and can't recommend Salinas Valley Dental Care enough!

Prior to scheduling an appointment at this office, I asked the receptionist if they could ensure I was in-network to avoid large fees. They confirmed I was in network and proceeded to schedule me. The office was very nice and everyone was very kind. However, someone in their billing office dropped the ball. I was quoted $4,000 for molar extractions, which at the time I thought was normal (I'm in my early 20's and didn't know any better). I paid half of the service only to find out when I got home that I was overcharged. I called my insurance and they informed me I, in fact, was NOT in-network. It is very disappointing to realize some places are not transparent, and they possibly took advantage of the fact that I was young and didn't know any better. Be extra careful when scheduling with this office.

I ultimately received my refund, records, and account statement, but only after a long period of repeated follow-up, including multiple emails, phone calls, in-person visits, and a public review. My concern was not the final outcome, but the administrative process. Routine requests for records, billing information, refund updates, and a final account statement took far longer than expected and often required me to initiate additional follow-up. I was also given inconsistent information by different staff members regarding records, billing, and document delivery. While these issues were eventually resolved, the amount of time and effort required to obtain basic information and documentation was frustrating and unnecessary.

Staff is rude. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told I couldn’t speak to one. Never going there again. Do better and hire professional staff.

My family been going to them for the past 5 years since we moved here. Experience has been good but their scheduling really frustrated me when we went last month. My husband, my daughter, and me had 3 appointments scheduled 40 minutes apart from each other, 1:00, 1:40, and 2:20. We arrived a bit early around 12:30 since it’s my 3 year olds first dental appointment, so need extra time to fill out paperwork. She was seen pretty much right away a bit before her scheduled time. But when we are checking in we were told my husband appointment was moved from 1:40 to 2:40, without any prior notice. The reason we scheduled the appointments this way is we have a 6 months old and the 3 year old. So one of us need to watch the kids while the other one do the appointment. Since they changed our appointment without letting us know in advanced we ended up waiting in the lobby for over 2 hours for our appointments with an infant and a toddler. Then our appointments were partially overlapping and we can’t really watch the kids as planned, ended up being a hot mess, we were both in and out of the office keep trading the kids. While we were waiting, there were people that continues to come in every 10 minutes for their appointments. Not sure why we are the only one whose appointment was pushed back especially we were already there waiting.
