About San Antonio Pediatric Dentistry | Orthodontics

San Antonio Pediatric Dentistry | Orthodontics is a dental practice on Bulverde Road in the San Antonio International Airport Vicinity area of San Antonio, Texas. Pediatric dental care is built around treating children specifically — dentists with additional training in child development and behaviour management, and offices designed to make a first visit unintimidating. Guidance generally points to a child's first dental visit around age one or within six months of the first tooth.

Orthodontic treatment straightens teeth and corrects bite problems using braces, clear aligners, or similar appliances over a period that commonly runs from about a year to several years depending on the case. It is offered to both children, where early evaluation can catch developing issues, and adults at any age.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.

Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost. Had been going here for routine check ups for both my son and daughter. Earlier this year as part of that I was made aware of cavities for both of them, so they needed caps. Now my daughter had no issues, but I noticed my son was in pain afterwards. Now we were told he shouldn’t feel any pain, BUT he DID he was crying for a couple of hours after! Anyways as a couple of days pass the pain left, now come the following Monday I wake up to my son’s pillow with blood stain. I’m freaked out and worried, at this point I don’t even want to take him back to this place! My husband takes him anyway to figure out what’s going on and basically nothing was answered to why this was happening. Now it has already passed more than a few months since this incident and now my son has inflammation where two silver caps were placed on his bottom teeth! I work nights and very tired but I make sure to brush his teeth morning and night! Especially after seeing what he had to go through, he’s only 5 so it hurts me to see him like this so I really would not recommend this place! Do your research and look at reviews first then decide where to take your children, God bless!🙏🏽

I will never get over how much I love this office. My son has been coming since he was one (he’s now six.) He’s had such a great experience every time. Everyone from the front office to the medical professionals are kind and accommodating. We will continue to come for as long as possible.

We had such an amazing experience at San Antonio Pediatric Dentistry! The doctor and entire staff are incredibly kind, welcoming, and truly make you feel at ease from the moment you walk in. Today we had the pleasure of meeting Daniel, who was absolutely fantastic while working with my child—so patient, gentle, and professional. It made all the difference! Everyone in the office is so friendly, and a huge plus for our family is that many of the staff speak Spanish, which we really appreciate. Highly recommend this office to any parent looking for compassionate, high-quality dental care for their kids!

We had a great experience today at San Antonio Pediatric Dentistry! My kids got their sealants done, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. Daniel was absolutely amazing very professional, patient, and kind. What stood out the most was how he took the time to explain everything step by step to my kids before starting. That made such a big difference in helping them feel comfortable and at ease. You can tell he truly cares about the kids and wants them to have a positive experience. I really appreciate the level of care and attention he gave. Highly recommend this place, and especially Daniel!
