I saw Dr. Fred Harandi's commitment to professional excellence after a decade-long patient of his recommended him. Arriving with a tooth fractured while chewing, I feared Invisalign was needed again. Despite being an Invisalign provider, after assessing my bite digitally and manually Dr. Fred found my repeating that expense was unnecessary which showed integrity. Dr. Fred is reachable when necessary and communication with his team is simple, effective and responsive. Each member of Smile Dentistry's team is caring, friendly and supportive of your dental health. Both the hygienist and Dr. Fred recommended personalized dental care tips. Dr. Fred's exam techniques and technology choices attest to his advanced education at UCSD and USC. He explains your film findings and treatment options in simple terms for sound and lasting results. Having TMJ, Dr. Fred examined my bite with articulating paper using the same methods as my Oral, Head and Neck Pathologist several counties away. I could not find a local practitioner skilled in these techniques. Dr. Fred took time fixing my bite to prevent further fractures without my feeling like a nuisance or rushed. Dr. Fred's digitizer results in crowns with a superior fit compared to standard impressions. When outside referral was necessary to other specialities, Dr. Fred personally ensured I received treatment soon and his entrusted network is equally advanced in training, technology and conscientiousness. All were in-network with my insurance which is uncommon. His welcoming other specialties' opinions further increased my trust. Each provider called me after major treatment checking on my recovery and answering questions. Dr. Fred and his team are kind, patient and considerate and the office is inviting. I usually don't leave reviews except on car mechanics and restaurants, but this place was worth the effort. Went here for second opinion after a bad experience at a dental office in Kearney Mesa and I was blown away. Dr. Fred really takes his time to do the right thing and genuinely cares about patient outcomes. They don't push extra procedures or hefty maintenance plans on you. He just tells you straight what his professional opinion is, his recommendation, and if something isn't in your budget they give you alternatives and let you know financing options. I was also just casually curious about their Invisalign treatment, and it ended up being such a good deal with insurance and a special running through the holidays that I ended up getting it done in addition to my normal maintenance. If I were to be really critical, my only criticism would probably be that I've had referrals have difficulty reaching the office by phone following major holidays, but that feels understandable given the sheer volume of patients they have. As far as treatment, customer service, and price goes it's been my favorite dental experience out of the 5 dental offices I've visited over the course of my life. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Before finding Dr Fred I had had some pretty traumatic dental experiences. I hate to admit it, but it had been seven years since I had seen a dentist, but my experience with Dr Fred was so amazing that I go every six months without fail. His staff is so warm and receptive and his office is so inviting, they make me feel very comfortable. They also have great communication and ensure that you know when your appointments coming up so you don't miss a thing. I have been coming to Dr Fred for eight years now, and everyone of my family now comes here and friends we have referred. Other offices were always trying to upsell us, and I was very uncomfortable with that. But I have never felt sold to in this office. If you're looking for a new dentist look no further and book an appointment with soft touch dentistry!

Dr. Fred and his team are fantastic. I have been coming here for many years for my routine cleaning and have not had one bad experience. I always feel like I am in good hands. Amber the dental hygienist is cheerful, experienced, knowledgeable and gives the most delicate and thorough cleaning. She is one of the best. Dr. Fred is very professional, caring, honest and precise. I just recently moved to San Diego from the east coast and have been getting all of my doctors appointments in order. I'm SO GLAD that I found this dentist that was recommended to me by a co-worker. Tom at the front is super nice and incredibly helpful. From my initial phone call to schedule, to checking in, to explaining my insurance and coverage he was excellent, knowledgeable, and honest. Tom is very personable and gives off a great vibe. I felt welcome in the office as soon as I walked in. Berny, the tech, was also great and did a wonderful job cleaning my teeth and taking the x-rays! Dr. Fred is the best dentist I've ever seen. He answered all of my questions (I had so many!) and he spends so much time with you compared to other dentists I've been to and was totally helpful in explaining his treatment and (unfortunately) my future fillings. I can't get over how much time he actually spends with his patients. It's such a refreshing change from other dentists I've been to. Overall, great, clean, friendly, up to date office that will make going back for fillings a little less painful :).
