About Secure Dentures & Implants

The long-run cost of dentures is not the price on the first invoice. Jawbone reshapes itself once teeth are gone, quickly in the first year and slowly forever after, which means a denture that fitted perfectly in spring can rock by the following winter. Relines to recontour the fitting surface are normal maintenance rather than a fault, and most full dentures need replacing somewhere around the five-to-eight year mark. Implant retention changes that arithmetic — two or more implants stop the plate moving and slow the bone loss underneath it — but adds cost up front. Neither route is wrong; they simply distribute the money differently across a decade. Ask any office to price both paths at the consultation, not only the one you walked in asking about.

Secure Dentures & Implants runs a laboratory inside its own building on East Sunshine Street, and that is the practical heart of how the office operates. Restorations and appliances are made in-house instead of being couriered to an outside lab, which compresses turnaround on new dentures, repairs and relines from days to hours in many cases. The service list is deliberately narrow and centred on tooth replacement: full and partial dentures, implant-retained and implant-supported dentures, single implants with crowns, and the extractions that come first. Starting prices for implant-retained dentures and for implant-and-crown work are published rather than quoted only over the phone, which makes cross-shopping between Springfield offices considerably easier.

The address, 2687 East Sunshine Street in Oak Grove, sits on the same east-side corridor as several competing denture practices — genuinely useful if you intend to collect two or three written estimates in one afternoon. Weekday hours run 8am to 5pm, wider than most implant-focused offices in town, with weekends closed. A first appointment typically covers an examination, imaging and a written plan that separates the surgical and prosthetic stages. If you are moving from a failing denture to implant retention, ask how many implants your bone volume actually supports; the answer sometimes comes back lower than a standard package assumes, and it is better to hear that before a deposit changes hands.

Secure Dentures & Implants builds its restorations in a laboratory inside its own East Sunshine Street building, which cuts days off new dentures, repairs and relines. The service list stays narrow and centred on tooth replacement: full and partial dentures, implant-retained and implant-supported dentures, single implants with crowns, and extractions. Starting prices are published rather than quoted only by phone, and weekday hours run 8am to 5pm. Plan for relines as ordinary long-term denture maintenance.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often will my denture need a reline or replacement?
Bone under a denture keeps remodelling after teeth are gone, quickly during the first year and slowly afterwards. A reline recontours the fitting surface to match the changed ridge and is routine maintenance rather than a fault, typically needed every couple of years. Full replacement usually comes due somewhere between five and eight years, sooner if the teeth wear flat and the bite starts to collapse.
Does having a laboratory on site change what I pay?
It changes both cost and timing. Work made in the same building skips the outside lab's markup and the courier days between appointments, so repairs and relines can often be done while you wait. It also means adjustments are handled by people who built the appliance and know how it was constructed, which usually takes fewer visits to get the fit right.
How many implants do I need to hold a lower denture?
Two is the common minimum for a lower denture, and it makes a substantial difference because lower plates have the least natural suction to work with. More implants distribute load better and give a firmer, less mobile result. What your jaw can actually take depends on bone height and width, measured from imaging, so treat any package number as provisional until you have been scanned.

1) squeaky clean 2) the nicest and yet professional staff one could ask for. 3) i had new dentures made ( my old dentures were over 20 years old) and when i went home with them for a week i had isues with overbite and biting my lips. PAINFUL so i called them and they said come on in ..On the way im "oh yea here we go : excuses, "just suck it up buttercup" nothing we can do. NOPE the dentist looked at my lips and showed sincere empathy. He found out that my lower denture was causing the problem. He took new fiting and re did my dentures. I go in tommorow for my new "new" ones. How refreshing to do business with a company that gives a damn about there customer. If you need dental work call them. they are off sunshine st. in springfield

From the moment I walked in, everyone was super pleasant and welcoming. To be honest, I'm a very difficult patient... Dr. Schneider and his assistant taking the x-rays, were more than accommodating to my wishes. They did the initial consultation exam to the best of their ability (remember, difficult patient) and put together a plan. Then I get the cost.... to my surprise, it was significantly LESS than I was expecting (yay me!!) and am ready to get on with the work. Kudo's to everyone I encountered at my initial visit with them! UPDATE: 2 weeks after my consultation… today was the day. Impressions this morning and all was well, returned at 10:45 to try the upper wax impressions and pick the coloring… smooth sailing so far. Went across the street to Walgreens to fill the prescriptions and get the list of items I’ll need at my follow up tomorrow. Returned at 1:00 for the surgery. This is where it gets real…. Remember my comment above, I’m a difficult patient. My mouth is super sensitive to pain and the numbing shots about sent me thru the roof. Then a little waiting, and more, more potent numbing shots… several more… still not enough. A little more waiting and the final numbing. I wanted my entire head dead to the pain I knew was coming, thank you Dr Schneider for accommodating. Extractions were quick and implant placement followed. All went well, a lot of blood (I’m a bleeder), started antibiotics prior to the pulling to get it in my system. All is good and I’m on my way home, feeling no pain. Four hours post surgery and the numbing has subsided. LORD HAVE MERCY… the pain is setting in (this is to be expected)!! My advise, take the pain medicine at first onset! Post surgery follow up in the morning… stay tuned. Note to anyone getting implants: This is not a one and done procedure. This is a fairly long heeling process before the final result.
