Beware- Get a second opinion before agreeing to treatment here. The staff may be pleasant, but my experience left me seriously questioning their treatment recommendations and transparency. During my first visit, Dr. Perez identified several cavities and gingivitus, and I proceeded with fillings on 3–4 teeth. I regret not getting a second opinion first, as I experienced pain for over six months afterward on teeth that had no prior symptoms. At a later visit, I was told I needed two more fillings and was quoted approximately $500 out of pocket for gingivitis treatment. A second dentist disagreed that the additional cavities required fillings and did not consider the proposed gum treatment necessary. I had also previously declined the recommended gingivitis treatment, and at a later visit, the office told me the previously flagged areas were fine. Which shows that the expensive treatment was not necessary, as those areas improved on their own. Meanwhile they still pushed me to get gingivitus treatment for other newly "infected" areas LOL. After seeing other reviews describing similar experiences, I felt it was important to share. I don't feel they are honest and reliable. Not to mention- the admin do not clearly explain charges and have attitude if I ask questions. I am glad I no longer go here and would recommend others to avoid.

We called if they accept our insurance, they just bluntly said yes. When we arrived they then told us they don't accept our dental insurance and tried to "offer" us their amazing dental plan. Pretty ridiculous, we already have insurance, but they still insist we get their plan. They deceived us to go their place to lay the foundation to get us to buy their plan, or we'll waste half the day going there. Deceitful as heck, and after reading the reviews after getting cheated, I realized other guests had similar experience.

Update on 9/3/2026 - I just received a bill today after more than 6 months since my last visit. My bill was paid in full when I left after my last visit but in their email they state that they’re auditing their books and sending past due accounts to collections. This is the worst dental office I’ve ever had to interact with. Yesterday was my 2nd and final trip to Serenity Dental Spa. After arriving for my cleaning 15 minutes early, two patients who arrived after me, were taken into exam rooms before me. After starting my appointment 15 minutes late, I was consulted by Dr. Seah who used fear tactics to push every possible treatment that she could. The final straw was when the dental hygienist was jamming the dental floss into my gums causing them to bleed. Dr. Seah came back in and told me that the bleeding was due to deep bacteria. I'm a bit angry at myself for letting her convince me to get an augmentin treatment for $400 that, after my research, found that it's only used for infections that have not been responsive to previous treatment, that are severe, and/or acute. I wouldn't bother coming here, their entire business is based on upselling other services that they provide. I heard two other consultation while I was there where they were trying to upsell Invisalign...their diamond status for top invisalign slanging means a lot to them based on their constant pressure to get every patient a pair. Avoid this place for peace of mind and finance

I have literally never left a review for anything EVER. But I mean it with my entire heart, that you should take your "business" elsewhere. My first appointment with this Dental "Spa" was supposed to be a routine clean and was supposed to take roughly 30-45 minutes, somehow took 90. Then whoever practitioner it was visited me and did a quick X-ray - then tried to aggressively sell me Invisalign, because of some small imperfection in my teeth. Then they said I needed to schedule a second appointment for some mysterious little substance between my molars. I came in for this "deep cleaning" and when I did go in for it, expecting it to take out all of the gunk that needed to be gone. It took literally 20 minutes (and again they were trying to sell me Invisalign and some other B.S. laser treatment). I think what's really fascinating is that this is somehow... healthcare? But it clearly is a business model and so disappointing for a high-class dental SPA.

I'd be very careful coming here. The staff and dentists are very nice and pleasant, but I left feeling extremely misled by the way treatment recommendations and costs were presented to me. I was told that I needed an additional antimicrobial treatment that wasn't covered by insurance. When I researched it afterward, I learned that the evidence for its additional benefit is limited, and the ADA describes the net benefit as uncertain. None of that uncertainty was explained to me--it was presented as necessary care rather than an adjunctive treatment with limited evidence of additional benefit. Also, somehow all my teeth had cavities, yet none of the fillings would be covered by insurance. Thankfully, getting these filled required scheduling a second appointment, so I was able to reconsider and cancel before being robbed of more money. Quite frankly, I was very uncomfortable with how they handled insurance and billing. Despite having excellent dental insurance, I was told nothing was covered, and they would not even attempt to submit claims to my insurance. I was expected to pay for everything on the spot, and it was quite pricey. I came in for a regular cleaning and ended up being charged over $2,000. I also considered doing Invisalign with them--judging from other reviews, I'm clearly not the only one--but I am now looking for a second opinion, as I simply do not trust any diagnosis from this place. Again, they refused to submit it to my insurance despite telling me that orthodontic treatment was medically necessary and that one of my teeth would fall out soon if I didn't do it. Being told something that serious naturally made me feel that treatment was urgent, so I agreed, under duress, to sign up for a CareCredit card for $5,000. Upon getting home and seeing reviews from other patients who had also been sold Invisalign, I immediately called them and told them I no longer wanted to go through with it and to cease any production. They were very dismissive and rude telling me I signed a contract, until I brought up legal action and explained to them the concepts of "informed consent" and "duress." Still, they were rude and inefficient. I informed them that I'd still be submitting an insurance claim for the procedures they performed and charged me for, and after many calls and emails, I never received the itemized bill required to submit it. I no longer have the same insurance I had then, so I'm out that money. Anyway, I ended up having to file a claim with CareCredit and getting them to charge back the amount. It is so gross, in retrospect, how these recommendations were presented to me, especially seeing how often this seems to have happened to others. Almost a year later, my teeth are perfectly fine.

I went to Serenity Dental Spa in FiDi for a routine teeth cleaning and exam. They did an x-ray and told me that I had 5 cavities and needed my wisdom teeth removed. I’ve never had a cavity in my 30 years of life, so this definitely gave me pause. I decided to get a second opinion. When I visited my hometown, I went to the dentist that i grew up going to. He recommended that I do not get my wisdom teeth removed. Three of them are fully inside my gums and extracting them could cause complications due to being so close to the nerves. He recommended that I get one top one removed because it is fully out now and has a small cavity. He said other than that, I don’t have any cavities and that any fillings on healthy teeth would cause long term damage. They drill a hole in your tooth and fill it in, which over time wears down and causes you to have to refill creating a bigger hole. And it permanently removes enamel and dentin from your teeth. I’m so shocked that Serenity gave me such a misleading diagnosis. It’s so unethical that they recommended that I get all of the procedures done when virtually nothing is wrong. Do not go there! Please be wary of these types of dentists. My dentist was a young woman who looked like she just graduated out of dental school. She gave me thorough explanations for why I should get my wisdom teeth removed and cavities, but it felt off given my dental history.

They are super friendly and very good at what they do

They permanently damaged my teeth!! I got three cavities pulled here by a male dentist immediately felt sensitivity, sharp nerve pain that would not go away. I suspect he cracked my tooth and also left my back molar forever sensitized. it hurts to eat hot and cold foods and I can’t chew on my left side anymore. The damage doesn’t show on an xray either. Do not go here if you want to live with pain for the rest of your life.

Tried to upsell me on an unnecessary preventative “deep cleaning” and Invisalign, Worse, they kept stonewalling on doing a basic cleaning because it would only clean above the gum line and because they are understaffed. Left with nothing done, a bunch of unnecessary x-rays and unwanted Invisalign scans. Waste of my time going down. The front desk and dentist were really friendly though!

I had a mixed experience here, though the clinical side was fantastic. • Dental Hygienist & Cleaning: 10/10. I recommend them 200%; the cleaning was thorough and professional. • The Office: 5/5. The space is incredibly clean, cute, and welcoming inside. • The Dentist: 4/5. She was perfectly nice, though our interaction was brief, so I didn't get a full sense of her style. • Front Office/Check-in: 2/5. This was the weak point. The process wasn't very smooth, and I found the billing to be vague. While I understand patients are responsible for what insurance doesn't cover, they were less transparent about costs than I’ve experienced elsewhere for a standard cleaning. (if the insurance happens to not cover it… it’ll cost me ~$600 which seems high risk for a simple cleaning) Summary: The dental work itself was a great experience, but the front office interactions left room for improvement. I’m waiting on a follow-up and will update based on how the front office handles the next steps.
