My cleaning visit was way beyond expectations (as usual!). Greeted with friendliness at the front desk, by Dr. Gunning, and the technician who engaged in interesting conversation. The cleaning went well. I made an appointment for my next cleaning and I left satisfied (also as usual!).
Great staff
My family and I love this dentist office! Dr. Gunning is great - very personable and down- to-earth. The staff is wonderful as well! Going to the dentist gives me a little anxiety and they do such a fabulous job keeping me at ease and comfortable.
I can’t express enough how positive my experience was. Dr. Gunning and his assistant, Anna, were incredible. This was by far the best dental experience I’ve had and I will be recommending them to everyone. For context, I needed work done on 11 teeth (that sounds right, I lost count) and Anna & Dr. Gunning were SO QUICK to halt what they were doing to ensure I was okay when I showed any signs of discomfort. Dr. Gunning is so kind, knowledgeable, and didn’t make me feel rushed or silly for asking questions. Anna was truly so sweet and thorough. The receptionists are just as amazing! Very grateful to have found this place!

Love this place! Dr. Gunning is absolutely incredible, we cannot say enough great things about him and his staff! They all treat everyone with kindness, empathy, and respect. Every patient is important to them, and Dr. Gunning is extremely skilled! We have been coming here for over three years, and now drive 40 minutes one way just to go here. We highly recommend Signatures Smiles to everyone we know!
Dr. Gunning is awful and rushes when he talks to you. He told me I didnt need a root canal and needed a crown after I specifically asked about a root canal first. I was having no tooth pain and went in for a cleaning only! He took weeks to even prescribe an antibiotic and didnt even offer it. I had to beg for it while on vacation and in so much pain. He refused to prescribe a pain med and told me to take Tylenol and Ibuprofen. I ended up having an emergency root canal while on vacation. He is horrible at communicating and only wanted to text after I specifically asked for a phone call. He would not even call my doctors office back to get on the same page about a plan of care and stated "he didnt feel comfortable prescribing something stronger." He implied that I should use the pain meds previously prescribed to me for back pain after I had my baby. That is totally illegal! All he cares about is money and the kick back he gets for referring out to his endo for root canals. He was inhumane and very unethical! I have reached out to Dora/dental board and am in the process of documentation and consulting with an attorney. My family and friends will not be back. Run very far away from this man and this practice!
Dr Gunning and the hygienists are the absolute best! I have dental anxiety and have had many crowns and Dr Gunning is the only place I have been to that ensures the crown is placed correctly and there is no pain after. Highly recommend!
I was very excited to have them as my new dentist but when you lose a crown and can’t get in for 2 weeks!!!! No thank you! I couldn’t eat or drink it was that sensitive. Needless to say I went back to my original dentist. This office seemed great up until that. They got me in quickly but then a 2 week wait to suffer was uncalled for. My original office got me in same day and replaced my crown same day. This place is probably good except for emergencies. And they clearly don’t care about your pain or comfort.
2/26/26: Last week I had a great teeth-cleaning by Sarah, as well as x-rays. I thought my previous dentist was pretty up-to-date, but apparently NOT on x-rays, as Sarah used these very small things to get the x-rays, that did not cut into my gums at all!! Painless for the first time! Needed to replace a 40-year-old silver filling, so went in yesterday for that. They rubbed some numbing gel on my gum, waited five minutes, then did the shot. Dr. Gunning was awesome at administering that! Waited approx. 15 minutes for my gum to get numb, took 5 minutes to remove the old silver, and about 8 minutes to get the new tooth-colored filling just perfect. Dr. Gunning and Kala were the perfect team, working quickly and efficiently, and I greatly appreciated how Kala vacuumed out every tiny piece of silver immediately, as Dr. was working on me. They also stopped to rinse and vacuum at least every minute. (They did this, not me, as there was a soft block on the other side of my mouth, keeping my jaw open.) I left, And everything feels great!! I would give the experience a 10 out of 10, and I would recommend this Dentist office for anybody who is afraid of the dentist, and more specifically, anyone who’s really afraid of any pain in their mouth, like me. Thank you Dr. Gunning, Sarah, and Kala!!
