Good thing he died! It has been 4 years and I have sought treatment with other experts on TMJ. They all have stated he ruined my bite and we must start over. Anyone who was his patient and had a bad experience know what I am talking about.

Dr. Simmons office is extremely good at what they do. I had severe TMJ my entire adult life and exhausted multiple options to relieve the pain and their treatment has been most effective. I am 3 years into my treatment and the discomfort is 75% gone. I am saddened to hear that he recently passed but would definitely recommend his team to anyone in need of TMJ relief. The majority of his staff has worked there for 15+ years and has been trained by the greatest TMJ specialist I have encountered. He has positively affected the quality of life of many with TMJ pain and his staff will carry that legacy forward.

I am very pleased with the staff of Dr. Simmons- the hygienist has always done a great job. Dr. Simmons does my hygiene checks and is unlike most dentist- he cares about the well being of his patients and is not just in the practice to just make money. I would highly recommend him!

My experience with Dr. Simmons and his staff has been awesome. He is knowledgeable about TMJ disorder and the many issues that go with this, such as my headaches, neck/shoulder pain, and jaw popping. He was very patient with my questions and concerns and took the time to address each one. I also found it refreshing that he was honest about what may or may not help and didn't push treatment on me. I received trigger point injections in one of my visits and was surprised with how much relief I felt. I didn't realize how much I'd been hurting! It is clear he has a lot of experience helping people find relief and I'm grateful to have discovered this practice.

My experience with Dr. Simmons has been nothing short of a nightmare. I began treatment in September of 2016, after being recommended by an oral surgeon. I attempted to do research on Dr. Simmons and his treatment process, but could find little information - except for what was provided to me during my initial consultation (warning: all of the research he bombards you with was written by him!) At this point, I was in so much pain, I knew I needed to begin some form of treatment as soon as possible. I wore my splints for about four months, seeing minimal improvement. In the meantime, I spoke with a lisp and had no idea the damage I was doing to my bite. Dr. Simmons does not allow your teeth to touch, ruining your bite - this is the reason you will require orthodontics. When I returned home for Christmas, I sought the opinion of a second doctor. He was horrified when examining my splints and the condition of my bite. He explained that Dr. Simmons was still utilizing an out of date, more invasive method than what is currently available. He removed my splints, and I touched my teeth for the first time. Surprising to me, not to my new doctor, my jaw didn't suddenly crack back into place - it turned out Dr. Simmons had actually never "unlocked" my jaw. During my office visits with Dr. Simmons, who I saw about five times during my treatment, I was very uncomfortable. He would stroke by hair and face without warning, which I found highly unprofessional. If you're reading this review, I'm sure you're in a lot of pain and think you've finally found the solution in Dr. Simmons - I urge you to keep searching.

I came to Dr. Simmons for a second opinion just prior to a scheduled six hour surgery. The surgery was to replace my left T.M.J. disc deteriated by arthritis. I also found that the surgery had many negative possible results and was now considered obsolete for my type of problem. Realizing that Dr. Simmon's method of treating T.M.J. was far less invasive and far safer than surgery, my husband and I were elated we'd found Dr. Simmons and his friendly, efficient staff, and yes the natural healing is taking time, but it's well worth it!!!!!
