About Sitnik Dental

Based on Liberty Road South in the South Salem area of Salem, Oregon, Sitnik Dental is a dental practice serving the area. Gum disease treatment ranges from a deeper professional cleaning for early inflammation through to more involved periodontal care once bone around the teeth has started to be affected. Bleeding gums are usually the earliest sign, and the early stage is reversible with proper cleaning and better daily plaque control.

Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave. Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Sitnik Dental located in Salem?
Sitnik Dental is on Liberty Road South in the South Salem area of Salem, Oregon (97302).
What days is Sitnik Dental open?
Sitnik Dental is open Monday through Thursday. Contact the practice through this page to confirm current appointment times before travelling.
What services does Sitnik Dental offer?
Listed services at Sitnik Dental include Gum Disease Treatment. The full list is shown on this page.
Is gum disease reversible?
The early stage, gingivitis, is reversible with thorough cleaning and better daily plaque control. Once it has progressed to periodontitis and bone around the teeth has been lost, that bone does not grow back — treatment then aims to halt further loss.
What is scaling and root planing?
It is a deep cleaning that goes below the gumline to remove bacterial deposits from the root surfaces and smooth them so the gum can reattach. It is normally carried out under local anaesthetic, often over more than one appointment.
How often should I have a dental check-up?
Every six months suits most people. If you have gum disease or a history of decay a dentist may suggest coming more often. The point of regular visits is mostly to catch problems while they are still small and cheap to treat.

Dr. Sitnik and his team are second to none. They have provided my cleanings, routine dentistry and replaced old crowns. Recently, I had two implants to replace missing molars. The results are well beyond my expectations! The teeth look great and feel natural. I highly recommend Sitnik Dental for general dentistry or dental implants.

Same day appointment. Was given some advice. I guess my anxiety and inability to make blind descisions without knowing my options were UNAPRECIATED by the doctor. Since I needed to have my options explained to me I was informed that I was no longer goung to be helped and should make another appointment. Be aware of your options people and hope that you aren't skiddish of the dentist... You may regret your ignorance if you don't.
