About Smile Now Dental /Kalandoor Dental Inc
Based on South Bascom Avenue in the Pruneyard / Dry Creek area of Campbell, California, Smile Now Dental /Kalandoor Dental Inc is a dental practice serving the area. A dental implant replaces a missing tooth at the root, not just the crown — a small titanium post is placed in the jaw bone and, once it has integrated over a period of months, a replacement tooth is attached to it. It is generally the most durable option for a single missing tooth or several.
A veneer is a thin custom shell bonded to the front of a tooth to change its shape, length, or colour, most often used to address chips, gaps, or discoloration that whitening alone cannot fix. Traditional veneers require a small amount of enamel to be removed, which makes the change permanent.
Emergency dental care covers sudden problems that will not wait for a routine appointment — severe pain, a knocked-out or fractured tooth, swelling, or a lost filling that leaves a tooth exposed. Same-day or urgent appointments are the point of an emergency service, rather than the standard multi-week booking window.
A crown covers an entire damaged tooth — used when too much structure is missing for a filling to hold reliably, whether from a large fracture, extensive decay, or after root canal treatment. It restores both the shape and the biting strength of the tooth underneath.
Dentures replace some or all of the natural teeth in a jaw with a removable appliance, custom-fitted to the mouth. A full denture replaces every tooth; a partial fills gaps where some natural teeth remain. Because the jaw bone reshapes over time, dentures typically need adjusting or remaking periodically.
Professional teeth whitening uses a peroxide-based gel, applied under supervision at a strength stronger than anything sold over the counter, to lift years of staining from coffee, tea, red wine, and tobacco. It works on natural enamel only — existing crowns, veneers, and fillings keep whatever shade they were made in. Everyone is so sweet and welcoming and they provide great service :)
Helpful and straightforward dental office, good with reminders and scheduling.
I have been coming to this dentist office for a couple of years. And they are so patient and helpful with finding an appointment that fits with my schedule, calling for possible earlier appointments and make sure I don’t have to wait in long lines. I love their fast service and little freebies! 10/10 service every time😊
I highly recommend Dr Kalandoor, I have been coming to her Dental practice for 20 years. She is an empathic dentist, attentive to not only what needs attention now but looks ahead and ensures we are taking preventative actions before they become an issue. She has always accommodative with my appointments against my schedule and mutual availability. She runs a small practice and always has a great hygienist yet I have never had to wait more than 5 mins against my appointment.
DDS Kalandoor has an amazing touch, painless, very trusted. Her staff very respectful, friendly, helpful. I totally recommend this place to be your favorite dental care clinic to everyone.
This dental office has been my family’s dentist for many years, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I came in with a toothache that I had been dealing with for about three weeks. I clearly explained that I was in pain. The doctor performed a cleaning and took X-rays, ran my insurance, and sent me home saying that should help. Unfortunately, my concerns did not feel fully listened to, and no real explanation or treatment plan was provided for the pain I was experiencing. A few days later, the pain came back. I called the office requesting a copy of my X-rays and was told that I had never mentioned being in pain during my visit, which was not true. I explained my symptoms again over the phone, and only then was I told, “Oh, that’s your wisdom teeth—you need to have them removed.” No one offered for me to come back in, no follow-up appointment was suggested, and no other options or explanations were given. This experience left me feeling that the focus was more on running insurance for a cleaning and X-rays than on truly listening to patients and addressing their concerns. I expected more care and communication from an office that has treated my family for years. Sadly, I felt unheard and let down.
For the past 12+ years, I've been a dental patient of Dr. Kalandoor's, and it's hard to find a dentist whom you can consistently trust to make the best decisions, or recommendations that suit your needs. There's never any pressure, or concern, that you're being booked for work you don't need, and my family agrees that she performs at the highest level, is gentle, and considerate. Whether it's routine checkups, fillings, crowns, or more in-depth work, I fully trust in her ability, technical knowledge, and the equipment in a well set up office. I actually look forward to my appointments and to see her great staff. It's worth a call.
