⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had my first dental implant with Dr. Monica Urda in 2021, and after such a great experience, I came back to her for my second implant and crown on tooth #31 in 2026. That says everything about the trust I have in her. Dr. Monica is incredibly skilled, gentle, and always takes the time to explain everything clearly. She is also so sweet and kind, and always makes me feel comfortable during every visit. I’m so happy with both of my implants and highly recommend Dr. Monica and the entire Smile Science Chicago team. Thank you for taking such great care of me!

I visited for what I expected to be routine preventive care. I was told I had five or six cavities and was quoted approximately $2,000–$3,000 for a cleaning. Prices were not clearly explained beforehand, and I felt pressured during the consultation. I later went to my regular dentist, who said I did not have cavities or need special cleaning. I also noticed other reviews describing similar concerns. I recommend getting a second opinion before you spend thousands. It does have the appearance and atmosphere of a five-star hotel, so it may appeal to patients seeking a luxury or cosmetic-focused experience. However, if you’re looking for straightforward, medically necessary dental care, I recommend comparing their recommendations with those of another dentist first.

This is a new dentist for me, but the first two visits have been great. They are professional but also fun. They didn’t try to sell me on anything or recommend anything I didn’t need. The entire staff and experience was exceptional.

I had a great experience, nurses and doctors were the best!! I'm from Chester il which is about 7 hours away. My family was here for my son's Navy boot camp graduation. We went to Navy Peir and I cracked my tooth on ice cream (of all things) on a Friday far from home. They got me in and got my tooth patched up till I can get back home to see my dentist. Dr. Joe and the Smile Science team are outstanding. After a scooter accident left me with four cracked front teeth, I needed four crowns and spent several months in treatment from January–May 2026. Dr. Joe made sure everything was completed in time for my June 2026 wedding, and went above and beyond to create a smile that exceeded my expectations. The results are incredible! I highly recommend Smile Science for any dental work, especially complex restorative cases.

As someone new to the Chicago area, I was searching for a dental office and came across Smile Science, which was highly recommended and well-rated. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was due to my initial interaction with the young lady at the front desk. Unfortunately, her customer service toward me felt somewhat off-putting. However, I am very glad I chose to stay for my appointment. My experience quickly improved thanks to Dr. Urda and the dental hygienist, who were both professional, knowledgeable, patient, and kind. The staff members I interacted with were welcoming and made me feel comfortable throughout my visit. Overall, I had a positive experience and look forward to becoming part of the Smile Science family.

It was my first visit to this clinic, and my first impression is super positive: the staff and doctors are very friendly , professional, caring and focused on saving my teeth rather than finding ways to make more money by extracting whatever is possible and telling that I will need implants! This clinic is transparent, very thorough in diagnostics, and they are interested in what’s the best for the patient! Highly recommend!

Hard to believe I’ve been going to Smile Science for almost 5 years! I do not like fillings or procedures (except for cleanungs), so naturally, I was so nervous going to a new dentist, who had to break the news to me I needed some work done. Dr. Urda was so transparent, kind and patient and made me feel as comfortable as possible through it. Dr. Urda has built such an incredible business with a culture centered around their patients. It’s so clean, state of the art technology, and I love what they’ve done with the new building on Milwaukee. Everyone is so friendly from checking in for appts to checking out with billing. I have the utmost trust in the staff with my dental hygiene and care! Special shout out to Mari, who I book cleanings with. I always look forward to seeing and catching up with her. She does a great deep clean and always judgement free 🙂 I’d highly recommend anyone considering to give Smile Science a try!

I found the staff to all be super friendly and to do a great job of explaining things throughout your exam. They don’t seem to sell you on things you don’t need, and the prices for the procedures are pretty reasonable. Definitely the best dentist office I’ve ever been to!
