All-on-4 is the headline implant option here, and the name describes the support rather than the result. Two fixtures go in upright at the front of the jaw. The back two are set at an angle, which lets each of them be longer and lets both sit clear of the sinus above and the nerve canal below, instead of running through territory that would have to be built up first. A machined abutment corrects that tilt so the bridge sitting on top still meets the opposing teeth square. What the technique is not is a universal answer. Severe bone loss, uncontrolled gum disease, heavy grinding and smoking all shift the risk picture, and a fixed bridge has to be cleaned underneath every single day with interdental brushes and floss threaders most people have never handled. Six Month Smiles is worth understanding on the same terms. It moves the front teeth that show when you smile, over a shorter course, using tooth-coloured brackets and wires. It is cosmetic alignment and it does not correct the bite the way comprehensive orthodontics does. For mild crowding or relapse after teenage braces, that is frequently exactly enough; for a genuine crossbite, a deep overbite or a jaw discrepancy, it is not the right tool.
