About Smiles of Valparaiso
Smiles of Valparaiso operates on Southpoint Drive in Valparaiso, Indiana. Implants are considered by many dentists the most durable way to replace a missing tooth, since the titanium post fuses with the jaw bone over several months and then supports a crown that functions much like a natural tooth. Enough healthy bone is the main prerequisite, and a graft can build that up first if needed.
Clear aligners straighten teeth through a series of custom, removable trays, each worn for one to two weeks before moving to the next in the sequence. They suit mild to moderate crowding and spacing well, and are worn roughly twenty to twenty-two hours a day for treatment to stay on schedule.
A veneer is a thin custom shell bonded to the front of a tooth to change its shape, length, or colour, most often used to address chips, gaps, or discoloration that whitening alone cannot fix. Traditional veneers require a small amount of enamel to be removed, which makes the change permanent.
Dentures replace some or all of the natural teeth in a jaw with a removable appliance, custom-fitted to the mouth. A full denture replaces every tooth; a partial fills gaps where some natural teeth remain. Because the jaw bone reshapes over time, dentures typically need adjusting or remaking periodically.
Sedation dentistry uses inhaled, oral, or intravenous options to help patients relax through treatment, ranging from nitrous oxide for mild anxiety through to deeper sedation for longer or more involved procedures. It is commonly used for patients who have avoided the dentist for years due to fear.
Professional teeth whitening uses a peroxide-based gel, applied under supervision at a strength stronger than anything sold over the counter, to lift years of staining from coffee, tea, red wine, and tobacco. It works on natural enamel only — existing crowns, veneers, and fillings keep whatever shade they were made in. Dr. Jenna & Christine are the Dynamic Duo of Dental Care! I found Smiles of Valparaiso when I had a dental emergency several years ago. Since then, they put together a comprehensive dental “Rescue” Plan for my neglected teeth 😕. Dr. Jenna and the staff worked together, with my schedule & Insurance plan, one or two at a time till NOW! I am so grateful to have a dental restoration that has given me the freedom to smile, eat and enjoy a good set of “Choppers”for the first time in Years. 🤣❤️👍
Everyone here is so kind, informative, and gives exemplary service! Thank you again!
Amazing staff, excellent care
Just came home from my 6 month cleaning. I've been going to Smiles for a few years now and I have never had a bad experience. Staff is always super friendly and helpful. Waiting room and offices are always clean. And most importantly for me with my crazy work schedule is they are always always accommodating. See you guys in 6 months. I highly recommend Smiles of Valparaiso. Edit. 7.7.2026 Another great visit at Smiles of Valparaiso. I was running a little late for my appointment and when I got there was taken right in. No wait...staff was very friendly, talked to Dr Kirk about my workouts and compared biometrics, she has me slightly beat on resting pulse and VO2max. She also said my teeth looked great!!! See you guys in 6 months.
Christina and Sarah were professional and kind. I didn’t have a wait. My Zoom treatment went smoothly, and I love my results. My teeth got 6 shades whiter.
Always a pleasure going for my teeth cleaning. The whole crew is fabulous! I have been a patient for a very long time. The service you receive is top notch. Very informative and everyone is friendly
I really hate going to the dentist. I could absolutely never go again if I didn't have to. However, they made my experience a good one. Relatively no pain, and everyone was very nice. In the event I have to go again, I will go there.
I have been going to this location for a few years now and have not had a bad experience. All of the hygienists are very nice, along with Dr Jen and the receptionists. They are able to answer any questions and show you the x-rays if there may be something questionable that they see.
Dr. Jenna Kirk, assistant Christine, and the entire front office staff did an excellent job with my first appointment yesterday. I had been with my previous dentist for 30 years until he retired last fall. My first appointment was to be a semi-annual cleaning, but after I broke a tooth it turned into a repair and a temporary cap placement. Modern technology and skilled care turned my appointment into a well-managed, pain free experience. In addition, they were friendly and thorough.
