I never enjoyed going to the dentist until I became a client of South Charlotte Family & Cosmetic Dentistry; Dr Wells and his team have a way of making you feel relaxed and comfortable, and they very professional and skilled at what they do.

After being with the same dentist for 28 years, switching providers was a big decision for me. I can honestly say my experience with Dr. James Wells and his team completely changed my perspective on what modern dentistry should feel like. From my very first visit, I noticed how different this office was. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, beautifully designed, and comfortable rather than overly clinical. The technology is incredibly advanced, including 3D imaging that allowed me to clearly see and understand my teeth, gums, and overall dental health on screen. What stood out most was how Dr. Wells explained everything. He took the time to review my treatment options, timelines, and future concerns in a very detailed yet easy-to-understand way without pressure, fear tactics, or confusing dental jargon. I especially appreciated that he gave me alternatives and realistic expectations instead of pushing treatment. The efficiency of this office is unreal. I never waited more than five minutes, and both visits, including two fillings and an Invisalign treatment review, were completed in under an hour without ever feeling rushed. The staff is equally impressive. Everyone is professional, kind, playful, and genuinely makes you feel more like a friend than a customer. I would highly recommend Dr. Wells and his team to busy professionals or anyone looking for an honest, modern, efficient, and anxiety-free dental experience. This is true modern dentistry!

They always go out of their way to meet your needs. Especially when you have an emergency. Dr Wells made a new upper denture for me and it fit perfectly with no adjustments at all.

Do NOT come here. I booked an appointment for a simple resin filling and left with nothing done and a $180 bill for just an exam. The dentist spent the whole time pushing braces and other treatments I never asked for. I’m 50 years old with no dental insurance (every dollar matters). Being charged $180 for an exam (photo) and a sales pitch is a complete rip-off. Never coming back and will warn everyone I know.

They do such a great job of cleaning my teeth. They feel so good after I leave there. I have been going there for years. All of the staff is kind and Dr Wells always takes time to talk to you and explain if you have any issues.
