About Southeastern Dental Specialists
Southeastern Dental Specialists operates on Litho Place in the Terry Sanford area of Fayetteville, North Carolina. At the core of a general dental practice is preventive and restorative care: checkups, professional cleanings, fillings, and screening for decay and gum disease before either becomes a bigger problem. It is the kind of appointment most people need on a routine schedule rather than only when something hurts.
Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost.
Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment.
Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.
Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.
Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. The front desk staff could not have been ruder. Especially the office manager. You would think they would be nice to customers but I guess we are just a dollar sign to them
Very friendly courteous service.
Great first visit at the office, the staff were helpful and explain everything for my upcoming appointment and the process and procedure.
After getting to the right entrance both the front desk and the staff were fantastic. I believe patients should get clear instructions on which side to go in.
Dear Dr. Abramson, Tina, and assistants: 66 years ago, a dentist in Miami, Florida, felt that that he was doing the right thing by grinding all of my teeth: "to make them level." That maneuver caused a lifetime of excessive wear and tear to almost all of my teeth. When I met with Dr. Abramson, for my initial interview/exam, I asked if it would be possible for someone in his office to perform a full mouth restoration process. He answered that he and his team do exactly that!! Summary: 1 hour orientation and exam, 4 hours preparation for upper teeth, a month later, 6 hours of preparation, lower teeth, and one month later, installation of absolutely gorgeous teeth installed onto every single prepared tooth in my mouth. The result...I'm giving autographs just standing on the corner!!!!! The important part: no pain, no discomfort, a continuous explanation of procedures from both Dr. Abramson and Tina (28 years of experience for Tina, more for Dr. Abramson), with the result that what could have been a very traumatic experience for me - resulted in 11 hours of fun and enjoyment with the result that I had hoped for for 65+ years. One might think: how vain... No, Dr. Abramson's procedures completely eliminated my constantly accidentally biting the inside of my mouth, plus now is allowing me to chew my food correctly, without grinding my teeth. Dr. Abramson, Tina, and their support team, including their incredible lab where my replacement teeth were made, are all simply of the highest professional levels of proficiency I could have ever imagined. A++ on all regards. I already have referred Dr. Abramson and his staff, to a nurse, Deborah Page, from Pinehurst Surgical, who remarked about my wonderful teeth during a routine exam, this week. She needs help replacing dentures. She told me she can't wait to make an appointment. It's too bad Johnny Carson is no longer on the air. I would have tried to make an appointment to show Dr. Abramson's and Tina's exceptional work to all to see..... The very best to Dr. Abramson, Tina, and all of the friendly smiles, including the lovely receptionists who greeted me when I walked into their spotless lobby at Southeastern Dental Specialists. The scores simply couldn't be higher. Thank you, everyone, Ronald B King, CLU, Aberdeen, NC
I had a great experience at the dental office. From the moment I walked in, everyone was friendly, welcoming, and very professional. The entire staff treated me with kindness and respect throughout the visit. The people who helped me during the day were truly extraordinary. They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, informed, and cared for. Their professionalism, compassion, and positive attitude did not go unnoticed. Without a doubt, they were amazing, and I sincerely appreciate the level of care and customer service they provided.
I do not recommend this dental office at all. The customer service showed no compassion, professionalism, or respect for families. When my child was taken to the back for a procedure, we were asked to leave the room while he was still aware and able to hear conversations. Staff members then began speaking negatively about his parents and family, which was completely inappropriate and unacceptable. Even after my child woke up, there was still no sign of empathy, dignity, or accountability from the staff. Hearing employees continue to make disrespectful comments about family members during such a vulnerable moment was extremely disappointing. As a parent, all I wanted was to help my child feel calm and safe during his procedure. Families deserve kindness, communication, and respect especially when trusting people with their child’s care. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here.
My first consultation with this office was exceptional. Kitty, the scheduler, was courteous and organized. Dr. Anthony Maiorana explained every step of my care plan clearly and ensured I understood the process. Nurse Meredith McDonald provided compassionate support during my visit, and Kamiya was very helpful with all insurance matters. Every team member was professional, kind, and dedicated. I am grateful for the experience. The entire staff reflects excellence and compassion, and I am looking forward to working with all of you regarding my care. Thank You Ms Rhodes
Dr. Ashley did my root canal. He and his assistant Jo did an excellent job. From start to finish, he was checking up on me, making sure I was doing alright. And he was explaining in simple terms what he was doing as he went along. I was done in 30 minutes, and I felt very little discomfort thru the entire procedure. An added bonus, Dr. Ashley is a very funny guy!! 😊
I went to Southeastern Dental Specialists to remove 4 of my wisdom teeth under anesthesia and I couldn’t have went to a better place. The receptionists were super helpful and welcoming. The assistants were amazing and thorough with all the questions I had, and the doctor Bhushan was amazing. Came in and was ready to work efficiently. The anesthesiologist was also very delightful and make me feel comfortable. Everything was set up and I was told that the IV sedation was going to start and I was out not even 30 seconds after and the next thing I remember is waking up and the procedure was done and they were already coming with the wheel chair to get me out. I got all four wisdom teeth removed with two of them impacted and two not even visible in the mouth yet, and I was done in 45 minutes. My healing process was quick and I didn’t swell the way I thought I was going too. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend anyone close to me to get their wisdom teeth checked out and removed at Southeastern Dental Specialists
