I wanted to find a dentist closer to the house, so I decided to give this office a try and see if it could become my new dental home. As a new patient, I came in expecting a routine cleaning. I had X-rays taken, gum measurements completed, and met with the dentist. To be clear, the dentist was extremely nice, and the staff themselves are not the issue. After the exam, I was told I needed a deep cleaning that would require four separate appointments, each lasting about an hour to an hour and a half over the next several weeks. I declined and asked if I could simply have a routine cleaning instead. I was told that because I had now been diagnosed with periodontal disease, a routine cleaning was no longer an option and that the only treatment available was the four-session deep cleaning. What concerns me is that I left without any cleaning at all and was presented with a treatment plan that would cost insurance more than $900, plus my additional out-of-pocket expenses. As a new patient, that experience felt frustrating and left me questioning whether the recommended treatment was truly necessary or whether there should have been a more reasonable path forward. Scam? Not sure. Disappointed with the bait and switch? 100000%

I am not sure about this dentist. I went there as a new patient and did not have the best experience. For starters, it was not very professional or friendly. I was told I had up to about 7-9 cavities, which seemed crazy to me because I have never had that many in my whole life. I tried to ask what reasons that could be, as I brush my teeth 2-3x a day, floss, etc and I also asked about if my toothpaste had any impact because I recently changed what I was using. The dentist ignored my questions and just continued to change the subject back to needing to schedule a time to come in because me cavities were so urgent, even though I feel no pain or discomfort. He and the assistant continued to explain that I needed to come in asap. After the dental assistant and dentist came in, another worker brought my receipt and asked if I wanted fluoride cleaning, I told her they already did that, she doubted me and said they would never do that without asking. Then she came back and told me I was right and they did do it already. Something just felt very off. I plan to get a second opinion because they expected me to pay $500+ out of pocket

Went in for a wisdom tooth extraction, now, i am NOT good with the dentist. It scares me! However, DR. Vu was incredible, not only was she very patient but also kept good conversation to help distract me. Definitely will now be my first choice in dentistry.

I was not going to leave a review for my awful, but then I received a bill in the mail for a routine cleaning. THE WORST DENTIST EVER! I went for a routine cleaning, took the lady about 10 minutes to take x-rays, then went to another room where she told me my gums look fine (which I know is not true because other dentist have commented on my gums lines), then Dr. T came in. Literally did not even look in my mouth yet and told me I needed 4 crowns, 3 fillings and my wisdom teeth out. I was in tears and he tried laughing it off. They then brought me to the front to tell me I would be over $5000, after insurance and I should book all of it together since I would be numb. I said no, and then they were pushing me to do the cavities and crowns. Again, I said no and booked the cavities. They then have the nerve to ask if I still wanted a cleaning LOL, like that's why I came here. I immediately left and called a new dentist had my x-rays sent and never looked back. The awful bedside manner as well as incompetence is WILD. I don't believe this visit is considered a 'comprehensive oral exam' that was billed. Do yourself a favor and find a different dentist or you would probably be better off not going to a dentist if this is your only choice.

DO NOT GO HERE I had a very disappointing experience at this office. Communication was extremely poor from start to finish. During what was supposed to be a routine cleaning, the dentist came in, briefly looked at my teeth, and was about to leave without discussing any findings. I had to stop him and specifically ask whether I had any cavities. Only then was I told that I did, which was surprising given the lack of explanation or discussion. The quality of the dental work was also concerning. Since my treatment, my bite has felt noticeably off. When I returned to have it adjusted, the staff seemed irritated that I was back and made me feel like I was inconveniencing them rather than addressing a legitimate issue. While an adjustment was made, the overall experience left me feeling unheard and dissatisfied with the level of care I received. I expect clear communication, professionalism, and concern for patient comfort from a dental office, and unfortunately, this practice fell far short of those expectations. I would not recommend this office based on my experience. P.S. I haven't been back since last year, but the experience was so negative that while searching for a new dentist recently, I immediately remembered how frustrating this visit was and felt compelled to share my experience in a review.

Their cancellation policy is incredibly elitist and harsh: 1 week notice to cancel or reschedule… within that 7 days you will need to pay $100. They did note that the first offense is waived, but the change in this policy is enough to make me want to switch dentists. As someone who works at a hospital and is a parent, it is incredibly difficult to predict my schedule within 7 days. I called on 6/4 to reschedule my appointment on 6/8 and was then informed about the cancellation policy. Just this April, the fee was $50 and I believe the notice period was 48 hours.

I’ve had an excellent experience with this dental office. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming, professional, and made me feel comfortable. The office is clean and well-organized. Dr. Vu was incredibly thorough, patient, and took the time to explain everything clearly. I never felt rushed, and all of my questions were answered with care. The treatment was gentle and virtually painless, which made the entire experience much less stressful than I expected. It’s clear that everyone here genuinely cares about their patients and takes pride in providing high-quality care. I highly recommend this office. Thank you for such a positive experience!

Well they deleted my previous one star review if that tells you anything about the place. Long story short I would not step foot near this place again. They scam you! I went in for a normal cleaning. They took X-rays and did a quick look at my teeth before stating I would need a “deep cleaning” and that I had 4 cavities that needed fillings. They told me the deep cleaning would require two visits as they do one side at a time and numb your mouth so taking off work is required (I already took a morning off for this visit). When they gave me the out of pocket cost it was nearly $3000 even with my dental insurance. Luckily I did not have them do any procedures that day. I went to a different dentist and gave them no information. They gave me a normal cleaning that day and stated I had NO cavities. There was no Charge as my insurance covered the X-rays and cleaning. DO NOT trust them if they say you need extra procedures… they also tried to get me to text them my social security number which obviously I did not do but the whole place is a scam!

A SCAM!!! RUN !! I went here and everyone was super nice… the first weird thing was that they asked me to say my SSN while I was sitting in the waiting room. Okkkk… and then I got a second opinion. I asked my best friend (who’s an x - ray tech), her boss (a dentist), and my cousin (another dentist who owns his own practice) about the work they recommended. Southend premier dentistry told me I needed a crown, a mouth guard, and a couple of fillings. But after the other dentists reviewed my X-rays, every single one of them said they didn’t see any issues at all…. Honestly, I’m really glad I double-checked, because I was this close to paying $900 out of pocket after insurance for work that was absolutely not necessary.

I observed a patient being offered free materials and services in exchange for taking down their honest review of this place. I personally was told that if my experience was not “5-stars” that I should not leave a review. Do NOT go here.

Visited here in September for the first time- Dr. Thatch told me I had 7 cavities (never had a cavity in my life) and needed a crown! I went to my hometown dentist for a second opinion following this- I left with one filling in the tooth that “needed a crown”. The cavity was so small my dentist didn’t have to numb me to perform the procedure (not to mention I paid $68…). Dr. Thatch was pressuring me to get the fillings and root canal done- as well as get my wisdom teeth removed immediately (and pay immediately). My wisdom teeth cause me no pain and aren’t causing any problems. My trusted hometown dentist saw no reason to remove them. South end dentistry gave me a $5,000 bill and expected me to pay a deposit immediately. If I haven’t cancelled the appointment they pressured me to make, I would’ve got stuck paying the majority of this, according to their contract. Overall this was a very sketchy experience- I recommend staying away - or getting a second opinion if you have a similar experience.
