About Springfield Dental Care

Springfield Dental Care, on Wabash Avenue, runs a general practice that pairs everyday dentistry with cosmetic options, aimed at patients who want both handled by the same office rather than split between a routine dentist and a separate cosmetic provider.

The service range covers the standard general-dentistry list — cleanings, exams, tooth-colored fillings, crowns, and root canal treatment — along with extractions and gum disease treatment for more involved cases. Emergency dentistry is part of the regular offering for unplanned issues, and cosmetic dentistry with teeth whitening gives patients a way to address appearance alongside routine maintenance, without a second referral or a second waiting room.

General dentistry in Springfield, Illinois, at its most useful, means one dentist who can handle a filling this visit and a whitening question the next.

Wabash Avenue sits in a well-traveled part of Springfield, which matters practically for a dental office people are expected to visit twice a year at minimum — an easy, predictable commute makes it more likely that routine checkups actually happen on schedule rather than getting pushed back repeatedly.

That combination isn't universal among general practices — some stick strictly to preventive and restorative work and refer cosmetic requests elsewhere, which adds an extra step for patients who'd rather ask someone they already see regularly. Before a first appointment, it's worth confirming which insurance plans are accepted and whether new-patient visits include a full exam and X-rays, so there are no surprises once treatment actually starts.

Affordable dental care is listed among the practice's services, a reasonable question to raise directly when scheduling a first visit. Patients searching for a family dental practice in Springfield, a dentist for the whole family, or general dentistry near Wabash Avenue have a practical general-dentistry option here that keeps both routine and cosmetic care under one roof.

Based on Wabash Avenue in Springfield, Illinois, Springfield Dental Care provides cosmetic dentistry and root canal treatment alongside routine dental care. The practice is open Monday through Friday. Contact details and a full list of services are on this page.

What services does Springfield Dental Care offer?

What is the difference between a crown and a veneer?
A crown covers the entire tooth and is a restorative treatment for a tooth that is structurally compromised. A veneer covers only the front surface and is primarily cosmetic. Which one applies depends on how much sound tooth is left.
Is a bridge or an implant better for a missing tooth?
They solve the same problem differently. A bridge is quicker and does not involve surgery, but it requires preparing the neighbouring teeth. An implant stands alone without altering adjacent teeth and preserves bone, though it takes longer and needs enough bone to place it.
How long does a dental bridge last?
Many last around a decade or more, and the main threat is decay or gum disease affecting the supporting teeth rather than the bridge itself failing. Cleaning underneath it properly is what makes the difference.

Over 10 years with this dental group and we left! Non personable, super judgy and don't ask to many questions or you will be labeled rude and have a tough time each visit. First few years were great! Unfortunate that you are so big you lost your personal touch! It would not let me leave 0 stars or I would have.

I called not even being a patient yet and they were so caring and got me in the next morning. I had a very bad tooth. Dr Patel looked at my x-rays and determined I needed a root canal. The office girls thoroughly explained the cost. No hidden cost or surprises . When I decided to proceed The dentist Dr Patel was wonderful and kept me comfortable throughout the process. I was happy with the outcome. I highly recommend this office especially if you are looking for a new dental group!

Springfield Dental Care is caring, professional, clean and friendly. I have been a patient for a couple of years and they do excellent work. They are up front about what dental care you might need, and work with you. Dr. Mari is the best, but all the staff are wonderful. I would highly recommend this dental office to anyone looking for a dentist.

I went in for a consultation for getting a flipper for a tooth. LONG story short, they wanted to charge me $800 for it. I do not have dental insurance and decided I would wait. They proceeded to try and charge me $100 for no dental exam but for the consultation. They are definitely very professional and nice but WOW they really need to let people know that they charge that kind of money for a consult. I was led to believe that I could come in and get a flipper made, easy as that.

The best dental staff that I have ever worked with. I live almost 2 hours away from their office, but it is DEFINITELY worth the drive. The staff is wonderful and they truly care about you.

This was my son’s first time to the dentist since he was 2 and he’s 9. Please don’t judge. He has ADHD and autism n I was nervous for the visit. The staff there are amazing! Not only did they make it a good experience my son had a fun time and even wanted to play dentist when we got home because of how well they handled him. I highly suggest Springfield dental care. They r amazing with me my mom and my son n I have nothing bad to say

Kaitlyn was amazing. She was so personable. I had so much great things to say about her plus, it was really awesome. I liked her so much. I asked if I could come back when she was working in six months.
