About Springfield Dentistry and Braces
An orthodontist, a general dentist whose work extends into oral surgery and implants, and a third dentist covering everyday care all practise out of 405C Armory Street. That arrangement is the point of the place. When an orthodontic plan calls for extractions before brackets go on, the extraction happens in the same building rather than at an appointment three weeks out somewhere else, and both sets of notes sit in one record.
Dr. Kendra Remington is the orthodontist. Dr. Catalina Osses Albornoz is a general dentist whose work extends into oral surgery and implants, and Dr. Kairong Lin covers general dentistry. Beyond braces the practice handles children's care, wisdom teeth removal, root canals and crowns, full mouth rehabilitation, veneers and whitening, dentures and implant-supported dentures, and sedation options for anxious patients.
Most families arrive weighing braces against clear aligners. Fixed braces handle the widest range of movements, including rotations and substantial bite correction, and they keep working whether or not a fourteen-year-old remembers anything. Aligners are removable and far less visible, which suits adults and disciplined older teens, but teeth move only while the trays are actually in the mouth, and twenty-two hours a day is the working standard. In practice the severity of the case narrows that choice more than preference does.
Either route is slow, because the biology is slow. Steady, gentle pressure on a tooth remodels the bone around its root, dissolving it on one side and rebuilding it on the other, which is why treatment is measured in months and why a missed adjustment costs weeks rather than minutes. Retainers afterwards are not optional either; teeth drift back toward where they started if nothing holds them there.
Impressions are taken digitally with an iTero scanner rather than trays of putty, radiographs are digital, and the office advertises same-day braces, meaning records, planning and bonding can happen in one visit where the case allows. That compresses what is often three separate appointments into one, which matters more than it sounds when the patient is fourteen and every visit costs a school morning.
Armory Street runs just off Liberty in north Springfield, straightforward from Liberty Heights, Brightwood and the Chicopee line, with weekday hours from eight in the morning. On money, ask the front desk which insurance plans are accepted and what payment arrangements exist before treatment starts, and get the full orthodontic fee in writing with the retainers included, since those are frequently quoted separately from the braces themselves.

My appointment was originally scheduled for 8:00 a.m. but was moved to 9:00 a.m. While the change itself would not have been an issue, the experience that followed was extremely frustrating. Upon arriving for my 9:00 a.m. appointment, another patient was assisted ahead of me, which delayed my check-in by approximately 15 minutes. I was not called back until 9:33 a.m., and I did not actually see the dentist until 9:48 a.m. Nearly an hour after my scheduled appointment time. At that point, I was told that the dentist would not be able to complete my cleaning and that I would need to schedule yet another appointment. After already having my original appointment time changed and then waiting nearly an hour to be seen, this was incredibly disappointing and inconvenient. When I attempted to address my concerns, the explanation I received was simply that there are usually two doctors working and that the schedule had been changed that day. While I understand that unexpected scheduling issues can occur, those changes should not result in patients being significantly delayed and then unable to receive the service they were scheduled for without any advance communication. I rearranged my schedule to accommodate the change from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. and arrived expecting to receive the care I had scheduled. If the office knew that staffing or scheduling changes would prevent my cleaning from being completed, I should have been informed before being asked to wait nearly an hour. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the lack of communication, the excessive wait, and the way my concerns were addressed.
Amazing people, and the doctor is very helpful and kind about the fact that I have dental anxiety
I was extremely satisfied with the care and support I received from the doctor and staff. I was a little apprehensive visiting a new practice but very quickly put at ease once I realized the level of care that was given by all
All were very pleasant and professional!!! Was a really great visit. Ty
Let me just start by saying the staff at this office is phenomenal. They are professional, polite and customer focused. Between Mgt, Adm, and the Da. I was totally impressed by them all. Shout out to Shanice, June and JC. The day of my appointment came with a lot of unexpected incidents and I was super late. I was in so much pain but the Dr. Did not have to see me. However, Dr. Catalina abandoned her plans last minute to take care of my issue with JC right by her side. Kudos to this team that did all the could do on a late Friday afternoon to accommodate me when I am sure they would have preferred to be calling it a day. I was truly grateful after traveling 30min to the wrong office.
The Armory St Springfield Ma Staff Are Amazing!!! Thank you for Getting my Cient in so quickly, and the bedside manner is Impeccable, warm, and genuinely caring! The office staff are Incredible as well!! Thank you
Lacresha was amazing with my little one. She made her comfortable and even had her laughing. Thank you for being so kind. Highly Recommend Lacresha for your little❤️❤️
They were fast and great, but I'm pretty sure they lied and didn't admit laughing gas , I'm pretty sure it was just oxygen 🤣 I did not feel one thing from said "laughing gas" that they administered to me. So either I have a tolerance of a bull, orrrr idk. Maybe someone can explain because, when I see people on laughing gas, it isn't what I felt that's for sure 🤣
Great experience at this dental office! The staff was friendly and professional, and everything was quick and smooth from start to finish. Batell at the front desk was 10/10 — super welcoming, helpful, and made the whole check-in process easy. Definitely recommend!”
