About Stanley C. Myers Center

Alton Road at 710, South Beach, Miami Beach FL 33139, is the address of the Stanley C. Myers Community Health Center — a social services campus operated by Jewish Family Service of Greater Miami in the South Beach community. This address also carries a listing for New Health Community Centers (ID 2549), making both entries here dual listings for the same facility: one under the organizational health service brand (New Health Community Centers) and one under the building and program name (Stanley C. Myers Center).

The Stanley C. Myers Center is named for a Miami Beach philanthropist who supported community health and social services in South Beach's vulnerable resident population. The center has historically provided a range of services including medical care, dental care, mental health services, food assistance, and social support programs for low-income residents, older adults, and the diverse South Beach community members who rely on subsidized or free services.

Dental care at the Myers Center operates within the broader social services mission — providing access to patients who cannot afford private dental care, including uninsured South Beach residents, elderly patients on fixed incomes, and community members navigating poverty and housing instability. Community health dental care at this facility prioritizes essential services: pain management, infection treatment, extractions for severely compromised teeth, and the basic preventive care that prevents dental conditions from escalating to health emergencies.

The South Beach location at 710 Alton Road is in the western section of South Beach, on the major north-south road that runs parallel to the beach corridor. This community health center at an Alton Road address serves the full-time residential population of South Beach — a community that includes both the affluent condominium owners associated with South Beach's public image and the far less visible working-poor and fixed-income residents who have lived in the neighborhood for decades.

For South Beach residents in ZIP 33139 who qualify for community health dental services, the Stanley C. Myers Center at 710 Alton Road — operating alongside New Health Community Centers at the same address — provides access to dental care within the broader social services ecosystem of this long-established South Beach community health facility.

Stanley C. Myers Center, 710 Alton Rd, South Beach, Miami Beach FL 33139 — community health dental services; dual-listed with New Health Community Centers (ID 2549) at the same Alton Rd address.

They are completely irresponsible. The patient makes the appointment two weeks in advance because they won't authorize the medication you need to take daily, coordinating with work schedules, and then they call the day before to cancel the appointment because they can't do the "physical examination" at that time (I always go at that time because of my job). To make matters worse, the person who calls me says the doctor has to leave on time, when all the doctor does is look at the computer and give you the order for tests, at most listening to your heart and lungs. It's a disgrace. I've been going to this clinic for 20 years, but lately it's been very disappointing. And that's not all; after canceling the appointment 24 hours in advance, as I said, another person calls to confirm if you're going to make it.

Beyond grateful! Everyone super polite, and sweet. I had a wisdom tooth pulled in another place, and had a lot of pain after 3 weeks of extraction. I came here and saw Dr. Juan Amundaray (dentist) and he was amazing! My pain is gone. I’m super happy with their work. Thank you 🙏

The service is terrible. I had an appointment at 3 pm, I arrived at 2 pm, it was 4:50 pm and they still hadn't called me. I ended up not being seen... I left without medical attention even though I had the appointment for 6 months.

Look, I understand it's hard to provide healthcare, but at the very same time, they say they checked to make sure that the Jackson memorial hospital (where they sent my brother who is suffering Mpox, and complications with HIV, who is DYING) had the proper treatment for the Mpox, still waiting since about 1:30pm. Healthcare requires more diligent communication, and coordination for that matter. Edit: The reason this is so important is that for these very same necessities, it could cost someone their brother, sister, mother, father, lover, best friend, it could cost a LIFE, and you can't just say sorry, or expect a couple of dollars to heal the grief and pain of a lost family member or lover.

If you don’t have to come here then don’t. An appointment means nothing because you can still easily wait 2 hours. People are rude and overall experience is not great.

This review is specifically for doctor Bolivar Perez-Diaz. This person takes disrespect and patient disregard to a level I find beyond belief. Beyond the fact that he did not even acknowledge my girlfriends presence is his office while going over results with her, he completely failed to disclose vital and sensitive details regarding previous bloodwork, yet had the audacity to attempt charging her for this service. Upon requesting a full refund the office manager was at first reluctant, but after shedding light on the staggering level of miscommunication experienced all day despite telling the front desk, manager and doctor all separately of time constraints regarding results of that visit, they did issue a full refund. My girlfriend was told she didn't need an appointment, yet had to wait 5 hours to see this doctor. She was told that it would be no problem to get results the day she came, as she needed them for her school and admission to her school program depended on the results, but after waiting 5 hrs she was seen and then told it would be a week until the results came back. I have never heard of such a blatant disregard of a patients needs, and tricking someone to use your facility when you know that you cannot provide the services requested, then attempting to bill the patient for said services is a form of fraud. This doctor completely ignored the wishes of his patient and failed to update her chart regarding those wishes, and failed to go over bloodwork done a week before despite out of pocket payment for that bloodwork. Had they not issued a full refund legal action would have been taken. For those of you who work at this facility you call a doctors office consider yourselves extremely lucky. Thank your office manager for she is the only reason you are not reading this message off a subpoena and instead a google review.
