He won 5 awards at the 2018 Aesthetic Dentistry Awards and has been shortlisted for 11 categories in the upcoming 2019 Awards in March. Wish him luck for the upcoming award ceremony in March. Dr Tom qualified from Leeds University in 2006 with Bachelors in Dental Surgery. He moved to Essex where he worked in a very large NHS Dental Practice for 8 years before becoming the Practice Principal at Start-Smiling. During this time he completed a Master degree in Medical Education and became an Equivalency Trainer and a Foundation Dental Trainer which means he trained newly-qualified dentists. Dr Tom’s passion for learning continued as he went on to complete his second Master degree, Endodontic Practice at Queen Mary University of London. This training provides Dr Tom with more advanced skills and knowledge and enables him to complete root canal treatments to a much higher standard using a sophisticated dental microscope and therefore improves successful outcomes and patient satisfaction. Dr Tom’s vast experience with many different types of cosmetic orthodontic appliances and his passion for pain-free and injection-free cosmetic smile makeovers has led him towards being an international lecturer. He lectures around the world and teaches other dentists about advanced cosmetic dental techniques. He writes for many Dental Publications and is on the Editorial board of the prestigious magazine Orthodontic Practice. Examples of his clinical work have reached international recognition, being published in Cosmetic dentistry Journals around the world to demonstrate to other dentists what amazing smile transformations can be achieved with minimally invasive and pain-free dental techniques. Dr Tom runs his own course in the UK where dentists travel from far and wide to learn his techniques and try to emulate his precise and beautiful smile makeovers.
