About Tampa ADVANCED DENTAL SOLUTIONS - Implant Center, Maxillofacial Prosthodontics & Periodontics

Tampa ADVANCED DENTAL SOLUTIONS - Implant Center, Maxillofacial Prosthodontics & Periodontics provides dental care on North Armenia Avenue in the Northwest Tampa area of Tampa, Florida. Implants are considered by many dentists the most durable way to replace a missing tooth, since the titanium post fuses with the jaw bone over several months and then supports a crown that functions much like a natural tooth. Enough healthy bone is the main prerequisite, and a graft can build that up first if needed.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave. The implant itself is designed to be permanent and frequently lasts decades. The crown attached to it is the part more likely to need replacing over time, and implants can still be lost to gum infection if cleaning is neglected.
Do dental implants hurt?
Placement is done under local anaesthetic, and most people compare the discomfort afterward to an extraction rather than something worse. Soreness for a few days is normal and usually manageable with standard pain relief.
What causes bad breath and can a dentist help?
Persistent bad breath most often comes from bacteria on the tongue and around the gumline, and gum disease is a frequent underlying cause. Because it is usually oral in origin, a dental examination is a sensible first step.

I have been a patient of Dr. Davila's for a number of years. The quality of services rendered by Dr. Davila and his staff has been consistently excellent. The staff are friendly and professional. Dr. Davila and the other dental health specialists have always rendered high quality care and have always taken the time to explain the cause and nature of my dental issues. Further, I have always been given a complete explanation of the recommended treatment plan. I would recommend Tampa Advanced Dental Solutions to anyone needing dental services.

I had a great experience at Tampa Advanced Dental Solutions. The entire team was very friendly and professional. The front desk staff, especially Ana and Yari, were amazing—very welcoming, helpful, and made the check-in process smooth and easy. The dentist took the time to explain everything clearly and answered all my questions. The office is very clean and organized, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend Tampa Advanced Dental Solutions to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dental team!

I could not recommend Tampa Advanced Dental Solutions more highly! I didn’t go to a dentist for 15 years because of bad experiences. But this place is stellar. They care, they explain, and they are a complete one stop shop. I will never go anywhere else again. Do yourself a favor and give them a shot. You won’t regret it!

Just facts: Was told they do not take on any clients who had work done by someone else. They will not continue care. Told the manager the previous dentist was both not capable of repairing what they broke and the patient was not able to return to them. They repeatedly stated they had never heard of this happening, kept asking why I could not return to the person who severely traumatized me and failed at my restoration? I felt like I was in the twilight zone. Did not seem to acknowledge anything the patient said as fact or truth. Stated they did not take on patients of other local practitioners even though I had been referred to them by the last dentist I had seen for a repair. Not prepared for my case at all, did not review my intake form or any information I had put in the form regarding my case. This practice appears to only take on new patients with no previous work, no trauma, no questions, or patients of a clinic that has formally closed and formally transferred all records to them. May be acceptable for cleanings and minor repairs but not able to complete any other form of advanced dental care regardless of their website and mission statements. Had a blame the patients attitude, leave you out to drown, pass the buck we don’t want you as a patient. So disappointed that I have now been to a 6th professional who has said the exact same thing. Made no attempt to help me, never saw the doctor, spoke only with the manager who did not look at any aspect of my dental needs, turned me away based on a single conversation that occurred at the time of the appointment. This again demonstrates the lack of preparation and knowledge of clients and patients basically making any kind of online pre-appointment not worth completing as they demonstrated they do not review their own forms prior to the patients coming in. Waste of time and money. Avoid if you are not coming for basic dental care as a brand new patient. The response that they do not deny treatment based on past history is false. Was told several times by the manager they do not work on patients who previously received treatment from dentists in their area, I would need to contact the previous dentist who provided care. She was very insistent on knowing where geographically I had received treatment. I was taken back for x rays without even consulting me, then left standing in the treatment area without instructions on where to go or what to do. The manager made it very clear they did not want to take me as a patient. It was obvious they had not reviewed my intake paperwork prior to my arrival where o provided a detailed description of my past dental history. Before leaving with yet another “suggestion” where to go, I was told by the manager not to act upset or angry on the phone when consulting the now 7th professional. Gaslighting at its finest. AGAIN I NEVER EVEN SPOKE TO THE PROFESSIONAL, was only briefly consulted by the manager. Attempts to make this situation sound like they did nothing wrong is a Miss representation of the events and blaming the patient rather than taking responsibility for not being prepared for a client. I arrived as a new patient but because I had previously had work done by another professional in the area I was told they would not be able to work on me.

Awesome experience over the last year VA referred me for a full mouth restore which was awesome. It looks great. They explained everything well. They’re cleanings are phenomenal… And even fitted me with a sleep apnea and mouthguard.

Do not come here. Took 3 hours to get a permanent retainer which they didn’t even want to do and complained about the entire time, they just wanted to give me the plastic retainers because it was easier (which I was gonna get anyway). Made a second appointment, they were clearly trying to talk me into becoming a regular dental patient for biannual checkups when all I needed was my wisdom teeth removed. Was told I could come in for surgery then I was told it was just a consultation. Unprofessional. Only giving two starts because some of the staff at the front was so amazing.
