About Tampa Palms Dentistry

Tampa Palms Dentistry provides dental care on Bruce B Downs Boulevard in Tampa, Florida. Cosmetic treatment is generally the least invasive branch of dentistry, built around changing how teeth look rather than fixing something broken. Whitening and bonding sit at the lighter end; veneers and reshaping involve more planning. Most cosmetic dental insurance excludes this kind of work, since it is elective rather than medically necessary.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.

Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Tampa Palms Dentistry located in Tampa?
Tampa Palms Dentistry is on Bruce B Downs Boulevard in Tampa, Florida (33613).
What days is Tampa Palms Dentistry open?
Tampa Palms Dentistry is open Monday through Friday. Contact the practice through this page to confirm current appointment times before travelling.
What services does Tampa Palms Dentistry offer?
Listed services at Tampa Palms Dentistry include Cosmetic Dentistry. The full list is shown on this page.
What is the difference between veneers and bonding?
Bonding shapes composite resin directly onto the tooth in a single visit and is more easily repaired. Veneers are thin custom-made shells fitted over the front of the tooth, usually requiring some enamel to be removed, and they tend to last longer and resist staining better.
Is cosmetic dental work covered by insurance?
Generally not. Dental plans are built around treatment that is medically necessary, and work carried out purely to change appearance sits outside that. Where a treatment also restores function, some element may be covered, which is worth clarifying case by case.
How can I look after my teeth between appointments?
Brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste and cleaning between the teeth daily covers most of it. Limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount consumed.

My name is Debbie and I hate going to the dentist. I am in Tampa with my husband who’s at Moffitt Cancer center. I live in The Villages. I had a crown fall off and I needed to find a dentist. The first dentist I went to was ridiculous and so I left. And then I found Dr. George’s. He said there’s nothing wrong with your tooth. I can put your crown back on. He did it with ease. It was a no-brainer. Then he said I’m concerned about that tooth that’s cracked. I said oh yeah that was supposed to be pulled a year ago.. He said well it’s starting an abscess and I don’t want it to go into your sinuses. He said we can do it right here if you feel comfortable and of course I said yes let’s do it. I was skeptical, but I did it anyway.. He made me feel so comfortable like I was his mom and he was taking care of me. Novacaine didn’t hurt pulling the tooth didn’t hurt afterwards going home. It was fine. I think I took two Advil that was it and I haven’t taken any pain pills at all and it’s healing great. So he will be my dentist going forward even though I have to drive an hour and 15 minutes to get here it’s totally worth it. Thank you, Dr. George’s

I had a root canal performed by Dr. Hatim Hamad, and I couldn't be more pleased with the care I received. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything in detail before and during the procedure, which made me feel comfortable and confident in his care. A day or so after the procedure, I experienced some pain and contacted his office. I was very impressed by how quickly he responded. Through his office staff, he promptly reached out to me, provided me with his personal phone number, prescribed medication to help relieve the discomfort, and assured me that I could contact him anytime if I had concerns or needed assistance. His level of care and dedication to his patients truly goes above and beyond. He was attentive, compassionate, and genuinely concerned about my recovery. Throughout the entire process, I felt supported and confident that I was receiving excellent care. I highly recommend Dr. Hatim Hamad to anyone in need of an endodontist. He did an outstanding job, and I am very grateful for the exceptional treatment and follow-up care I received. Thank you, Dr. Hamad, for your professionalism, kindness, and commitment to your patients.

Amazing experience Tampa Palms Dentistry! First Brandon gave me a call welcoming me to the office as a new patient, before I even came in. That was such a nice surprise. At my appointment, Dental Assistant Jasmine was so kind, personable, and really helped me move through my nerves. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding girly!! Then Dr. Raffoul came in and he was so succinct yet detailed at the same time, I knew I was talking to someone very knowledgeable. I felt like it was genuinely the best experience I’ve ever had. Lastly, Kayleigh helped me understand pricing options for the procedure I needed and how/when we could make it all happen. She was super nice and very very attentive! Thank you so much to the Tampa Palms Dentistry team. Individually you are all simply amazing, and so altogether you are out of this world.

My son found this dentist a couple of years ago and had a really positive experience. Dr. Raffoul fixed something a previous dentist did not do well. Subsequently, I am now a patient here. I am thoroughly impressed. I am always greeted with smiles and positivity. The care here is superior and Dr. Raffoul is helping me correct dental issues and so far the outcome is fantastic. I am feeling much more comfortable that my overall health and wellbeing is in very good hands. And I have to say the positivity flows from the top down, because Dr. Raffoul is all happy smiles as well his staff!

Very professional environment, everyone there is uplifting and encouraging. The implant itself completely blew me away! I had my doubts before because the bone where I had no tooth had receded but now I can’t even tell I ever had a missing tooth! If I could give more stars I would, highly recommend.

I highly recommend Tampa Palm Dentistry! From the moment I walked in, the service was absolutely incredible. Dr. Raffoul, Kianne, Renato, Daniel, and the rest of the amazing staff (sorry if I forgot a few names!) were impeccable — professional, caring, patient, and truly dedicated to me and every other patient they help. The entire team made me feel comfortable, welcomed, and cared for every step of the way. Their kindness, attention to detail, and outstanding care impressed me so much that I had to leave this wonderful review because they truly deserve every bit of these five stars. Thank you all for such an awesome experience! Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
