The Chief Dental Officer has now allowed dental practices to provide urgent dental care on the NHS. This includes provisional fillings (a good temporary), crown re cements and extractions. As Leicester is still in partial lock down we are encouraged not to provide routine dental care. Private dental care is less restricted and we can provide routine dental care. However for treatments that create aerosols we wear more comprehensive PPE and have to shut the surgery for an hour after use. This limits the amount of treatment we can provide.
