About Team Dental
Based on North 2nd Street in the North Philadelphia area of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Team Dental is a dental practice serving the area. General dentistry covers the routine and restorative care most people need most often — examinations, cleanings, fillings, and preventive checks that catch problems while they are still small and inexpensive to treat. Regular attendance, roughly every six months for most patients, is what makes that early-catch approach actually work.
Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.
Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.
A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.
Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.
Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit. I’m a new patient and couldn’t be more pleased with this dental office. Wish I’d have been going here since they first opened. Doctor is amazing, addressed an existing cavity that should’ve been recognized by my previous dentist. Completely painless, top of the line dental work! Looking forward to my next visit.
my experience at this dental location was amazing everyone was very courteous and the dentist was very informative with what come next in my treatment. I had my 3rd visit yesterday and I am really happy that i came across this office every is amazing...
I paid the fee for the invisible aligners, let's see how it goes
I recently started going to this practice and the care, patience, and quality provided by Dr. Kennedy and her team has been life changing. As a person who has had significant dental anxiety for years, I’m so impressed that each time has been an incredibly positive experience for me. Cannot recommend enough!
I’ve worked in dentistry for 17 years, so finding a new dentist after recently going remote was important to me. I’m very happy I chose this office. Corrine was my hygienist and she was very thorough, professional, and personable. Dr. Kennedy was just as professional and I never felt rushed during my appointment. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and welcoming. It was a great experience overall, and I’m looking forward to my next cleaning!
I hadn't been to the dentist in a long time, and the people at Team Dental made it so easy. The office managers Alina and Vernyce and the receptionist Suzie, were extremely friendly and helpful. They set up my appointments, explained the different payment options available, and when I got sick the day of my first visit, they didn't charge me for canceling the day of, even though its their policy to. I came in for my a deep cleaning and my Hygienist Corinne was great. She made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. Most importantly, my teeth and gums feel so much better. I highly recommend Team Dental!
I recently moved to Philadelphia from Long Island, and after years of being with my previous dental clinic, I was extremely nervous trying something new. My teeth are very sensitive and I don’t take pain very well, but I was pleasantly surprised with my cleaning and how gentle and patient they were. They took the time to explain and put me at ease, and I especially appreciated being shown educational images to better understand my gum sensitivity. The office space itself, as well as the equipment, was clean and felt high end. I have only positive things to say. My only comment is that I was hoping (and somewhat expecting) that the doctor would conduct oral cancer screening, which is standard and part of routine checkups, so I was disappointed that this wasn’t done and the dentist spent a total of 30 seconds speaking with me, which felt rushed. But perhaps this isn’t included in the cleaning appointment, so I will have to explicitly ask about this next time. Overall, my experience was good and I would recommend this place.
Dr. Jaffari and the entire staff at Team Dental were amazing. From Suzie at the front desk to Alina who handled my X-rays, everything was smooth, welcoming, and professional. I usually hate going to the dentist, it's been 5yrs for me and I've been avoiding going. Fortunately I found Dr. Jaffari, he took his time, explained everything clearly, and the best part, Completely painless? I had two fillings done and can’t even tell they’re there. Wow, excellent work. I finally found my dentist!
I have had really great experiences with Team Dental. The patient care coordinator, Suzie, is warm and welcoming. My hygienists, Nicole and Kimberly, are kind and knowledgeable. Dr. Kennedy takes the time to clearly explain everything and answer my questions. I truly appreciate the level of care and professionalism!
