About Tecumseh Dental Center

Tecumseh Dental Center operates on Teal Road in Lafayette, Indiana. Implants are considered by many dentists the most durable way to replace a missing tooth, since the titanium post fuses with the jaw bone over several months and then supports a crown that functions much like a natural tooth. Enough healthy bone is the main prerequisite, and a graft can build that up first if needed.

A veneer is a thin custom shell bonded to the front of a tooth to change its shape, length, or colour, most often used to address chips, gaps, or discoloration that whitening alone cannot fix. Traditional veneers require a small amount of enamel to be removed, which makes the change permanent.

Cosmetic treatment is generally the least invasive branch of dentistry, built around changing how teeth look rather than fixing something broken. Whitening and bonding sit at the lighter end; veneers and reshaping involve more planning. Most cosmetic dental insurance excludes this kind of work, since it is elective rather than medically necessary.

Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the space, and allows the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. Its reputation for being painful is largely outdated — carried out under local anaesthetic, it typically relieves pain rather than causing it.

A crown covers an entire damaged tooth — used when too much structure is missing for a filling to hold reliably, whether from a large fracture, extensive decay, or after root canal treatment. It restores both the shape and the biting strength of the tooth underneath.

A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring a false tooth to crowns placed on the teeth either side of the gap, creating a fixed replacement rather than a removable one. It is a longstanding alternative to an implant, particularly when the neighbouring teeth already need crowns. My whole family has been coming here for years until we relocated. We love Dr. Henry — he always patiently finishes his work and takes care of every detail. I’m very picky about dentists, and I honestly can’t say anything bad. Also, thanks to all the friendly staff and our wonderful hygienist!

The family has been going to this dentist for over 10 years and never had a problem. Great staff, good service and gentle on your teeth. Our insurance changed and now we have to find a new place to go and I’m so disappointed. 🥺

The staff here are super friendly and considerate! I'm not a huge fan of dentists but they have been super flexible and considerate when I've had issues come up. Both dentists that work out of this office are fantastic and very professional!

I went in about 7 months ago with a minor tooth ache and said I might have a hairline crack in my tooth, they dismissed me and minimized my symptoms, and said I just need a cleaning. So I did a cleaning. Now, I have a bigger tooth ache with that same tooth because now it's infected and the crack is bigger, and my new dentist said either a root canal (which rarely succeeds) or extract it to solve the problem, so now I'm dealing with an implant, but if they would have taken me seriously, this may have been able to be prevented. Be very cautious with this place. I guess they didnt want to help me.
