The Dental Express Downtown

Super friendly staff, very modern office checked me in really fast and were eager to help! Very clean too! Went in for la second wisdom tooth removal today (8-14-18) and just as before the staff was super friendly very modern vibe! Made me feel totally comfortable, 5 out of 5 starts! Thanks again Dental Express!! UPDATE: Thank you Bethany for my deep clean and making feel so comfortable, AND FOR MY GOLD STAR! ⭐️

the front desk women are super nice, x ray / hygienists not so much

The service is generally good, the downside is the lack of parking; you have to pay at the parking meter. If there's a children's game going on at the time of your appointment, then there's no way around it, and they might tow your car. If you leave your car and walk to the clinic, unfortunately, it's surrounded by homeless people, and you risk being harassed or insulted. For this reason, I didn't like it; the area and where you leave your vehicle aren't safe.

Bere and Laurie has the most pleasant smile and great sense of humor . Kayla the assistant she was so very kind and thoughtful and caring. Arturo clean my teeth and I was very comfortable. . I will definitely keep coming back . Thank you for making me feel welcome.

Dr. Jen was proficient, thorough, quick, and simply great! She discovered in short time what 2 other dentists failed to see, and that was my far back bottom tooth had cracked due to the age and size of the the filling, when the others thought I had a nerve problem under a crown....which is wrong!

I have been going to Dental Express for years now. Have had lots of work done by Dr. Jenn to undo many years of neglect. I am happy to say that after several root canals, crowns, a deep cleaning and taking out my wisdom teeth, my mouth is finally forgiving me for all the bad I did. I had my 6 mo check up last week and guess what, no issues?!? What?! I am so happy, my mouth doesn’t hurt anymore. Dr. Jen rocks and everyone at the office is super friendly and encouraging. Never felt shamed, I recommend this dentist to all my friends and family!

I got a root canal and crown here that caused me problems immediately after, that are still ongoing.. I have to floss that tooth after every meal, it’s ill fitting and food gets stuck on one side every time I eat. Lo and behold, 2 years later, I NOW HAVE TO GET THAT TOOTH PULLED. I take care of my teeth and have never been through something like this before. I am confident had I gone to better dentist for my root canal, this cracked molar that needs to be PULLED would not have happened. I will never be back here. It also took them 1.5 hours to see me. Appointment was at 4. I was seen at 5:40 ish. LASTLY for this tooth that needs to be pulled that I’m DEVASTATED about, they referred me to a 2.3 of 5 star endodontist. I will Never go back here.

My wife had to ask for the lead jacket right before they were about to take an X-ray. That alone should discourage anyone from coming here. We have constantly had communication problems with the front desk staff. They fail to tell you what they are thinking and mislead you. When you bring up a concern or a question, they never follow up with an explanation or clarifying question leading you to constantly feel like you have to force info out of them. This problem likely can be rectified through training. However, the close call with an unshielded X-ray is unforgivable. We will be taking our business elsewhere.

The best dentist I’ve ever been to. The staff, the office and the whole experience is absolutely top notch. Dr. Casey and Dr. Jenn are best in class.

I came here to have two front teeth done and had two crowns installed. I will say one thing, the service is at the highest level! Doctors are professionals in their field) Thank you all🥲 If there were 10 stars I would give 10)

Always a better than expected experience. Kind front desk and staff too. Dr. Jen helped me with extracting a swollen tooth that kept me up for days in excruciating pain. I was expecting to have to get sent to another office but they were able to get the broken tooth out no problem. Big shout out to the assistant I forgot her name who helped calm me down too. They’re also going to fix my partial that broke so they pretty can do anything and I am so happy they are my dentists

I've been coming to Dental Express Downtown for years. The office is always clean and welcoming, the front desk staff is super friendly, and I genuinely enjoy the music they play—it makes each visit that much more relaxing. But the real reason I keep coming back is Christina. She is absolutely fantastic—professional, gentle, and always takes great care of my teeth. You can tell she really cares about her patients. Located just down the street from Petco Park, this spot is super convenient if you live or work in downtown San Diego. Whether you need a routine checkup or something more urgent, they make it easy to get in, even with walk-ins or same-day appointments.
