Andrew trained at Guys Hospital as a Dental Technician in the early 1990s and after qualification gained a position in the specialist Crown and Bridge Laboratory at the Hospital. Having gained experience over several years in all aspects of restorative restorations, Andrew moved to Brighton to start a new life with his young family and established a new business venture. ‘Implant Restorations Ltd’ is a dental laboratory specialising in making Implant restorations. After 12 years the laboratory is successful and renowned nationwide.With this background Andrew was able to further his education and obtain a Diploma in Clinical Dental Technology (Merit) from the Royal College of Surgeons. The course provided a full understanding and clinical training in both clinical and technical aspects of patient care for dentures. The qualification now allows Andrew to provide comprehensive care for patients including taking impressions, making restorations and fitting them.Working closely with Graeme Newton a fellow clinical dental technician, Andrew strives to make the patient – clinician experience one of care, trust and understanding throughout the treatment. Graeme began his apprenticeship in Dental Technology in September 2001 and subsequently gained a BTEC National Diploma from Lambeth College in 2005. For over 15 years he worked as a freelance Dental Technician in a number of leading dental laboratories in London and the South East. This experience enabled him to master a considerable number of specialist skills.His early career path focused on crown and bridge restorative work and since 2007 he developed considerable expertise working with prosthetics and implant restorations. With this background Graeme was keen to provide a more personal service for patients and continued his professional development by obtaining a Diploma in Clinical Dental Technology from the Royal College of Surgeons.With this qualification Graeme can now not only make patient restorations, but also take impressions and fit them to ensure each and every patient’s personal needs are met. Graeme truly believes that this is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with patients, get to know them as individuals and provide the clinical service that they deserve.
