For someone that isn’t a fan of the dentist the team made me feel so relaxed from reception staff to being in the “hot seat” with the dentist!
I recently visited the Forum for a broken tooth extraction. I can't fault anything about the visit. The receptionist was friendly, the actual treatment went well and I walked out smiling 😁
Was referred here by a emergency dentist for a few extractions first phone call I got was offering a appointment with 1 day notice I work full time so I asked if I could have a bit more notice on appointments luckily the second time they called I was on leave and took the appointment what went really well i explained to them that me and my partner work full time so we have to plan these things with work I was then told they could not do it as I said 2 day notice for a extraction where I would need someone with me to take me home is to soon as we both work full time for them to then to tell me that they can’t do it now because I could not get time off work with 2 days notice and that I would have to find somewhere else Even tho I was not booked in until September they brought it forward not me not a place for the working class or people being referred from the nhs shame ad the staff I saw where really nice
Can't thank Richard and dental nurse Michelle enough for their professionalism in putting me at ease and giving me confidence during my recent treatment. Highly recommended!
I have been a loyal patient of your practice for over two years and, until today, I have always been very happy with the dental care I have received. Unfortunately, my experience today was so disappointing that I feel compelled to make a formal complaint. I had an appointment at 4:00 pm to repair a filling that had partially fallen out a couple of weeks ago. In order to attend, I took annual leave from my full-time job. While driving from central Lincoln to Gainsborough (approximately 20 miles), my GPS estimated my arrival time as 4:12 pm due to traffic. Although I realised I would be slightly late, I was surprised that I did not receive a call from the practice to check whether I was still attending. When I arrived, I was informed by three receptionists that the dentist had already left. When I asked why, I was told that, as I was the last patient of the day, the dentist assumed I was not going to attend and left at 4:10 pm - just 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment. What upset me even more than the missed appointment was the way I was treated by the reception staff. Instead of showing any understanding or attempting to resolve the situation, I was spoken to in a dismissive and confrontational manner. I was told, "It is your problem to call us if you are late." I explained that I was driving and could not safely use my phone while driving. One receptionist responded by saying, "Well, if we had called you, you wouldn't have been able to answer anyway." I then asked to speak to the practice manager and was told to call the main number to be transferred. When I did so, the call was ended while the reception staff were laughing. I have never experienced such unprofessional and disrespectful behaviour from customer-facing staff. What makes this particularly disappointing is that I have always been very satisfied with the dental treatment itself. The clinical care has been excellent, which is why I have remained a patient for over two years despite living quite far from the practice. However, the conduct of the reception team today, 1st July 2026, has completely undermined that positive experience. Their behaviour reflects poorly on the entire practice. I appreciate that appointments run to a schedule and that patients should make every effort to arrive on time. However, leaving after only 10 minutes without attempting to contact a long-standing patient, followed by the manner in which I was treated on arrival, is simply unacceptable. I would appreciate a response explaining why there was no any attempt to contact me, and what steps will be taken to ensure other patients are not treated in the same way in the future.
Had to see 2 doctors in one day. Root canal work(2 teeth at the same time)and then getting those teeth sealed, two hours later. I should definitely mention that I'm afraid of dental clinics and everything related to oral pain. But....and that's a big BUT...this place is just brilliant. No pain at all. I've seen Dr. Richard Allott and Dr. Diana Panchea. Calling them professionals and knowledgeable or caring, will never be enough. They were purely BRILLIANT. Receptionists, doctors, assistants...they were all brilliant and everything went perfect. I shall see you all soon. Thank you for everything.
Two weeks ago I was referred to The Forum by my dentist for a complicated extraction. Everyone was so relaxed and professional. Everything was explained before proceeding. The tooth was out so quickly and totally pain-free with aftercare before being allowed to go home. That was very reassuring. Recovery was very quick too.
After not having a great experience with a local NHS dentist, I decided to take a leap of faith and registered with The Forum. From the initial telephone call, the staff have been welcoming and very informative. They booked me in for the following day for an examination. When I attended the appointment, I needed a filling to be repaired that had broken (from previous NHS work) and was invited back later the same day to get it fixed. I am absolutely amazed at the difference in levels of service from a private dental practice. The staff are friendly, put you at ease and are very welcoming. My dentist Dr. Abigail George has been incredible with me today, very patient (I'm quite a nervous visitor!) and very attentive. I honestly couldn't ask for anything more and dare I say it, I may just be looking forward to my next visit! Thank you so much to all of the team at The Forum, you are amazing! 😀
