The most welcoming and skilled dental practice in Austin! The Local Dentist is an absolute gem and perfectly captures everything you could ever want in a neighborhood dental practice. From the very first appointment the entire team made me feel genuinely comfortable and completely at ease in a way that completely transformed my experience of going to the dentist. The dentists are exceptionally skilled thorough and take the time to explain every procedure clearly and patiently so you always feel fully informed and confident throughout your treatment. The office is beautifully modern impeccably clean and has a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets it apart from any other dental practice I have visited in Austin. The scheduling is always smooth and the wait times are very reasonable. The Local Dentist truly lives up to its name by feeling like a real part of the community and delivering an outstanding level of care that I cannot recommend highly enough!

Had an amazing experience, got me in the next day to address and immediate risk with some broken teeth from a prosthetic that they did not even create originally, Dr Trent Smith & Dani, the office manager was so so helpful and understanding. Both stayed after closing to get my partial temp fixed before a business meeting. Have now decided D.R. Trent and this office will be my office moving forward with my maintenance of my new incoming implants.

I had some old childhood fillings that went bad and fixed by Dr. Trent Smith. Another dentist in the area said it needed to be a crown, but Dr Smith felt that he could save the tooth and tends to be on the conservative side of doing crowns. He filled it and a few years later I move out of state where two different dentists said my “Austin” dentist did a great job with that filling and that just by looking at it they couldn’t tell it was majority filling, only knew by looking at the x-rays. They were both impressed. A crown would’ve been very expensive, so he did me a solid by saving that tooth. I trust Dr Smith and the staff here - I know they care about their patients because they take time to get to know you and help you learn better hygiene habits. I miss vibing out to fun music at this dentist office so much!!

I’m so thankful for Dr Trent Smith and the caring, professional staff at The Local Dentist. My front tooth snapped in two after tripping and Superman-flying into my kid’s bed runner and Dr Smith made it to where it’s impossible to tell. The staff made me feel comfortable and career for. Thank you!

They let me pick what ever movie wanted :) With an extreme fear of previous childhood experiences I was very nervous. I have avoided for years; and here at the local dentist, I have met my people, they did not hesitate when I called 10 times in one day to go over the plan again. And again when I wanted to ask more questions with a mouth full of cotton swabs. I got treatment without insurance and we came up with a plan that can work for my style; I.e, what’s the priority, what needs to happen today and what can wait. Very informative. And just maybe now I won’t cry during a simple cleaning :) thanks yall Spooky, scary, for sure, because …dentist, but, I will speak on the staff is absolutely angelic, accommodating place for my big ol’ fears. Happy to be here

I’ve been coming here for four years now and SO highly recommend this place. I’ve had to get a decent amount of dental work done through Dr. Trent after some years of stress and neglect. Not only does he never make me feel bad about that, but appointments here feel like a highlight in my day… wild thing to say about a dentist. I’ve never felt like he’s over-treating, ever, and it’s evident he puts a serious amount of care into the work without adding a hefty price tag. The front desk is accommodating and always let me know when an earlier appointment is available.
