About The New Pediatric Dental Care of Greater Orlando Inc

The New Pediatric Dental Care of Greater Orlando Inc provides dental care on Red Bug Lake Road in Oviedo, Florida. Pediatric dental care is built around treating children specifically — dentists with additional training in child development and behaviour management, and offices designed to make a first visit unintimidating. Guidance generally points to a child's first dental visit around age one or within six months of the first tooth.

A sealant is a thin protective coating applied to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth, where the deep grooves collect plaque and food that brushing struggles to reach. It is most often applied to children's permanent molars shortly after they come through, though adults can benefit too.

A professional cleaning removes the plaque and hardened tartar that brushing and flossing cannot reach, particularly along the gumline, and is the core of routine preventive care. Most people benefit from a cleaning roughly every six months, more often for those managing gum disease.

Tooth Decay Treatment is also among the treatments offered here, and the practice can explain what it involves and whether it fits your situation at a consultation.

Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost.

Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment. What services does The New Pediatric Dental Care of Greater Orlando Inc offer?
Listed services at The New Pediatric Dental Care of Greater Orlando Inc include Children / Pediatric Dentistry, Dental Sealants, Dental Cleaning and Tooth Decay Treatment. The full list is shown on this page.
Can early tooth decay be reversed?
Very early demineralisation, before a cavity has actually formed a hole, can sometimes be remineralised with fluoride and better plaque control. Once decay has broken through the enamel surface, it does not heal and needs to be cleaned out and filled.
How do I stop my child getting cavities?
Brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, supervising until they have the dexterity to do it properly, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear during the day. Frequency of sugar matters more than the total amount.
What does a paediatric dentist do differently?
They complete additional training focused on children — how teeth develop, how to manage anxiety and behaviour in the chair, and conditions specific to young patients. The practical difference is usually as much about handling the visit as the treatment itself.

My daughter is 5yo and is always excited to visit Dr. Taylor’s. Shes been going since she was 3yo and has never complained. Kevin, the hygienist, was very good with my daughter. He was patient and talked her through every step. Today she got her first set of x-rays and was super excited to see them. I highly recommend Dr. Taylor‘s office.

I couldn't have asked to find a better dentist for my kiddo. I called Dr. Taylor's office last week, just before closing, in need of an urgent appointment. My daughter was seen the next day for images, a cleaning, and treatment plan. She was excited to come back to the dentist today! Dr. Taylor explained everything he was going to do and showed her how it would feel. She has ADHD and can experience sensory isses, so this was really helpful. Dr. Taylor and Kevin paid attention to changes in her body language and kept checking in to make sure she was doing okay. Thank you for treating my daugher with respect, patience, and care.

We love Dr. Taylor. He is great with the kids and is truly passionate about what he does. He takes time to show kids how to better take care of their teeth. You know he is great when your kid tells you that he is so excited to go to the dentist and see Dr. Taylor!
