The Witham Dental Health Centre

I've been treated by Dr Aesha twice now and both times she has been so kind and patient. Other dentists have been quite rude and patronising but this has not been the case at all. I had a tooth extraction last time and she was incredibly patient. Today she was just as nice as i was having a derp clean. She has given me advice for treatment to think about in the future but there was never any pressure. She has a lovely manner about her too. The receptionists are also very helpful. I haven't always liked going to the dentist as I've had bad experiences but I won't be worried when I go back for a check up in 6 months time.

Brilliant service, have been using this dentist for 3 years now and always have been really accommodating at getting appointments in. I recently came with severe tooth pain and saw Dentist Aesha Akhtar and she was brilliant, talked me calmly through everything and always made sure I was comfortable at each appointment. Really professional and friendly service, thank you!

A charge of £27.90 for a 15 minute checkup is insanity

⭐ 1 Star – If I could give zero stars, I would. I attended The Dental Health Centre in Witham suffering from significant tooth pain. After two X-rays, I was given three options: a filling, root canal treatment, or extraction. I explained that I did not want another filling because a previous filling on what I believe to be the same tooth fell out the very next day. After discussing the options, I chose extraction. The dentist and I agreed on this treatment plan, and I was given a second appointment at 12:40pm specifically for the extraction. However, throughout the consultation I was repeatedly encouraged to have the procedure done privately instead of through the NHS. When I returned for my extraction appointment, I was again encouraged to pay privately. After I declined and confirmed that I wanted the NHS extraction we had already agreed upon, I was informed that the tooth would not be removed. I find it completely unacceptable that an extraction was discussed, agreed, and an appointment was arranged specifically for that procedure, only for it not to be carried out when I attended. I left still in pain, without treatment, and having wasted my time attending an appointment that achieved nothing. Based on my experience, I have no confidence in this practice and would not recommend it to anyone seeking NHS dental treatment.

We have attended Witham Dental Health Centre for years and always had an excellent service. However we attended last week and had the most exceptional experience with Dr Swapna which has prompted me to write this review. So professional and reassuring. David & Mary O

I have requested a refund on 3 separate occasions, and the receptionists were completely unhelpful every single time. Instead of resolving a simple administrative issue, I was ignored and passed around. A professional dental practice should be able to handle billing errors or refund requests without making the patient chase them endlessly. Very disappointing experience.

I started my Invisalign journey in October 2025 with Prakash and can honestly say I am thrilled with the end result, which only took 6 months! He then did some composite bonding on my front teeth and I now feel extremely confident about my new smile. His advice and expert treatment from start to finish was fabulous. Thank you so much, I am glad I took the plunge!

I cannot rate this practice highly enough. In particular Dr Prakash Ahuja and Swapra who assisted him. They stayed on out of hours (until nearly 7.30pm) to carry out repairs on my son’s teeth following a trauma. Not only did they do an amazing job with the repair, they handled my son’s anxiety faultlessly and were friendly and professional throughout, despite the lengthy procedure and the late hour. No words can express my gratitude and I will continue to recommend this practice to everyone and would not consider ever going elsewhere.
