About Tiny Teeth Pediatric Dentistry

Based on North Maize Road in Maize, Kansas, Tiny Teeth Pediatric Dentistry is a dental practice serving the area. Pediatric dental care is built around treating children specifically — dentists with additional training in child development and behaviour management, and offices designed to make a first visit unintimidating. Guidance generally points to a child's first dental visit around age one or within six months of the first tooth.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.

Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost. Tend to overbook and forget about kids they’ve already “checked in.” People working behind the desk sorely lack the courtesy to say something (like maybe the drs running behind??) or ask you to reschedule, as well. They just let you sit there. And to have to drive 2 hours each way and not even get seen at a time you’ve have scheduled FOR MONTHS is absurd and frankly disrespectful. My last appointment was incredibly infuriating they couldn’t even take accountability for it. Take your kids somewhere else, especially if you have one with special needs. Do not recommend.

We live an hour an a half away. We got a call the day before our appointment to confirm everything, nothing about canceling our appointment was said. We paid for a hotel the night before since appointment was at 6am and didn't want to drive that far that early with the kids. We get there first thing and are told then that our appointment is canceled. Dont waste your time with this place. I wish I would've read the reviews before hand.

I’ve been going here for over three years now and I’ve always been really satisfied with the care until our last visit in December. I will not be returning. I felt that the doctor was very rude and judgmental rather than understanding about our unique situation. One of my children is autistic and when I described to my son’s psychiatrist the way that they do these exams she was appalled, and I was mortified as a mother because I was trusting a doctor, and I thought that we were doing the right thing turns out it was very traumatic for my son. But also, my boys witnessed a suicide and because of that they struggle with anxiety one is only two and still very much attached to his pacifier, which I know isn’t great, but considering the circumstances, I think that I deserved to be treated more kindly than I was he basically said I don’t care care. He shouldn’t be having a pacifier Obviously, we are working on it but trauma kind of changes things kids regress, and I felt he was not very sensitive to that.

This was my sons first time here and it was fantastic! Super friendly staff and my son loved the games and aquarium set up! Also being able to watch Spiderman during his cleaning was great!

Due to dealing with my abusive ex husband withholding the children from me, they missed their dentist appointments I attempted to reschedule them and tiny teeth was absolutely not willing to work with me. Even after explaining the situation and them being patients since infancy. Do not recommend. Clearly all they care about is money.

My children have only went to Tiny Teeth for their dental needs and we had not been in due to life events and so I called prepared to have to potentially be put in as new patients. When I spoke with Carmen on the phone she was very rude, and told me that we were down for three no shows. I asked her how that was possible as we had not received any contact from them accept a letter stating that doctor healy was ill and would be leaving the practice. She stated they had a three no show policy and I asked how did we have three no shows when we come once a year we don't do every 6 months. She stated the dates of appointments and I asked how did you contact me she said we called but didn't get confirmation back for the appointments. I told her I find that hard to believe since my children have went here since this dental office opened and had not issues until now. I am very upset we had no communication and no pending dates that were no shows and had no communication of their supposed appointments to be able to confirm. I am in shock with how this played out after my kids have only been patients of this establishment for their teeth to be handled and lied to like that. Defiantly don't recommend because obviously the front office is not honestly handling patient appointments and interactions with their patients.

My daughter has been going to tiny teeth since she was two years old and she is now 10, and it has been nothing but an amazing experience. Dr. Healy is kind, funny and even talks to the kids and asks how they are. He's always gentle and makes sure my daughter is comfortable. Dr. Healy has taken great care of my daughters teeth. Their office itself is also amazing, as is all the staff I've dealt with. I couldn't recommend then more. I'm honestly not sure why there are bad reviews because this place has always been great for us.

A part of an orthodontist building, located in the middle of the three. Large and impressive decor, with numerous staff members. Our dental hygienist was very thorough on tips. Learned that Wichita has one of the worst rates of dental rates due to the lack of fluoride in the water. Didn’t know that! There was a bit of a wait, and some people who were called after us, were seen before us in the back.
