I had some work done nd I cannot say enough good things about this office. I was nervous going in, but from the moment I arrived, everyone made me feel comfortable and informed. The hygienist took the time to explain everything thoroughly, and then the dentist came in and went over the entire treatment plan with me again. At no point did I feel rushed or dismissed. They were very patient during the numbing process. The dentist explained each step, numbed me in stages, and gave the anesthetic time to fully work before moving forward. That level of care made a huge difference in reducing my anxiety. I also want to add that they are VERY neurodivergent friendly. As someone who can become overwhelmed by medical and dental procedures, I felt heard, respected, accommodated, and safe throughout the entire experience. Everyone was kind, professional, and genuinely compassionate. Dental work can be scary, but this team made me feel like I was in good hands the whole time. Thank you all for taking such great care of me.

I wish Zero Stars was available as an option. 1st appointment I made was for an emergency cracked tooth. Upon arrival I was told that they can’t do the repair without a consult first and that I needed a 2nd appointment date. I should have known then to walk away but I thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt. 2nd appointment two months later was for the tooth repair. Scheduled for 8am. I arrive and the desk tells me my appointment is at noon. Which it wasn’t. It was scheduled for 8am precisely so that I did not have to take time out of my day. Somehow they managed to “squeeze me in” and the dental work was quite good. Worthy of another “chance”, so we scheduled my annual cleaning, first available in 6 months. 3rd appointment. After waiting 6 months, just 15mins before the appointment, the desk called to state that if I didn’t bring X-rays with me from a prior practice that I would have to pay out of pocket for the X-ray. What X rays are needed for a Cleaning?!! There must something wrong, I scheduled a cleaning 1/2 a year ago, not X-rays: “sir its office policy to do a consultation with all appointments”. Well I had a consultation when I wanted to get a filling. “Sir that was a basic evaluation, you need a full assessment” … this sounds like a ploy to over charge insurance. “Sir you’ll have to pay out of pocket without your prior Rays.” I do not want X-rays, I’m here for a cleaning. Also, did you think to tell me at any point during the prior 6 MONTHS that these were needed? Why wait until the hour of unless you only intend to squeeze every penny from my pocket. So I left. I have an appointment next week with Canton Dental for a cleaning. Unless you too enjoy wasting months of your life, and overpaying for services you did not consent to, Just don’t even start the process. Look elsewhere. Avoid like the plague.

I sought out this Black dentist in hopes of finding a practice that was compassionate and honest. However, from the very first day, I felt that their actions showed the opposite. To begin with, during my initial call to confirm whether they accepted my insurance, there was no explanation about what would happen at my first appointment. When I arrived, I was told that I would not be receiving a cleaning—only an exam where they would look at my teeth and tell me what work needed to be done. Essentially, it was just a consultation and a bill. I explained that I had recently had X-rays done and could have them transferred over because I wanted to save time and get a cleaning during that visit. They told me my appointment had not allotted enough time for that, so I rescheduled. Before my rescheduled appointment, I received a confirmation text from the receptionist. During that call, I informed her that my insurance had changed. When I arrived for the appointment, I reminded her that I wanted to use my new insurance policy. She told me that since both of my insurance policies were active, they would have to bill both, which could result in me receiving two bills. At my first appointment, my initial co-pay was $50. My insurance covered most of it, leaving me responsible for $6. No procedures were performed, but the doctor did speak with me, and they billed my insurance. At my second appointment, which was today, I was scheduled to receive a cleaning and X-rays. Because of their policy about billing both insurances, I wanted to make sure I would not end up with two bills. I explained this concern to the receptionist, but she stated that it was their policy and that if I wanted the cleaning done, I would need to proceed. I moved forward with the appointment because I did not want to miss the cleaning. However, the hygienist attempted to take my X-rays and appeared unsure of what she was doing. She repeatedly placed the plastic and metal X-ray piece in the middle of my mouth and asked me to bite down. It was impossible for me to bite down properly because the device was resting on my tongue. When I spoke to the doctor about the billing policy, the lack of information during my initial call, and the improper placement of the X-ray equipment, she said they would “take it into consideration.” However, there was no real accountability. It feel as though they try to do as little as possible at each appointment so they can bill your insurance more. This does not seem like a practice that is genuinely interested in helping people, but rather one focused on making as much money as possible. I would not recommend this dentist, especially if you are looking for someone who is compassionate and understanding.

I went to see Dr.Tomicka for a broken tooth and they were very thorough on my options. I haven’t been to the dentist in a while and they were extremely understanding and not judgmental. The tram there are very professional too. There’s a hygienist there (African American male with glasses) did a superb job on cleaning my teeth. This had me smiling for days and still til this day. Thank you! Highly recommended!!!

Dr. Jackson-George is very professional, honest and her bedside manners is superb! She is super friendly, all of her staff are on point and display the same disposition as her. They are eager to assist no matter which really impressive! They are very concerned about their patients. At first I was a little apprehensive going to a new dentist. However, Dr. Jackson-George made me feel comfortable and reassured by walking me through each step as she bond my chip tooth front tooth. The outcome was phenomenal! I will be coming back and will advertise her credentials to my colleagues, family and friends.

I saw Dr. Jackson-George today for a crown. The appointment was right on time, the office is pleasant and comfortable, and Dr. Jackson-George is very methodical about her work and she lets you know each step of the procedure. She is also the best dentist I’ve ever had when it comes to injections…I didn’t feel any pain or discomfort. She was assisted by Rose who was awesome and they worked as a team to make what’s normally an uncomfortable procedure very easy! I’ve been going to this provider for years now and will continue to do so as long as I live in the Baltimore area.
