About Trails Dental Group and Orthodontics

Trails Dental Group and Orthodontics is a dental practice located at 8300 North FM 620 in northwest Austin, Texas, within the 78726 zip code. North FM 620 is a major arterial road in the northwest Austin and Cedar Park corridor, and the practice provides both general dental care and orthodontic services to patients in this part of the metro area.

The practice offers orthodontic treatment for children, adolescents, and adults, addressing misalignment, crowding, spacing, and bite issues. Orthodontic care begins with an evaluation of tooth and jaw alignment, followed by a treatment plan that specifies the recommended appliance type, estimated treatment timeline, and associated costs presented before any work begins.

Traditional braces remain one of the most effective orthodontic options for a wide range of alignment cases, while clear aligner systems are available for patients who prefer a less visible treatment approach. The orthodontist determines the most appropriate method based on the complexity of the alignment issue, the patient’s age, and their specific clinical presentation and goals.

Patients beginning orthodontic treatment at Trails Dental Group will start with an initial consultation. The dentist or orthodontist reviews X-rays and dental records, assesses bite and alignment, and presents a written treatment plan that includes a complete breakdown of costs before any treatment begins. Patients should review this plan carefully and confirm all fees before proceeding with any phase of orthodontic care.

The North FM 620 location in the 78726 zip code is accessible to patients from the Anderson Mill, Steiner Ranch, and Avery Ranch neighborhoods of northwest Austin and the adjacent Cedar Park area. FM 620 connects these communities to the broader northwest Austin corridor and serves as one of the primary roads through this part of the metro.

Northwest Austin’s 78726 zip code has grown rapidly over the past decade with suburban residential development, creating demand for general dental and orthodontic services close to the communities where patients live rather than requiring them to drive to the city center or major commercial corridors for routine care.

Trails Dental Group and Orthodontics accepts new patients for both general and orthodontic care and can be reached by phone. Patients in northwest Austin near FM 620 or the 78726 zip code seeking orthodontic consultation are welcome to contact the office.

Based on North FM 620 in the Four Points area of Austin, Texas, Trails Dental Group and Orthodontics provides orthodontics alongside routine dental care. The practice is open Monday through Friday. Contact details and a full list of services are on this page.

Dr Cicone and Tanya (the hygienist) made me feel very comfortable during my examination and cleaning. They explained to me what needed to be completed and walked me through the processes. My cleaning with Tanya was amazing and also educational. I will be back with my family. Thank you!!

Dr Ciccone's great. The front desk and accounting kind of cancels all the goodwill. Also weird seating in the patient room , everyone including the doctors enters from behind you and talks to your back. Please fire the interior decorator.

Friendly, skilled, knowledgeable, gentle, and encouraging— love the staff at trails dental. My teeth aren’t great but they’re better than they’ve ever been under the care of Dr. Cicone. Assistant Abby goes out of her way to help. Recommended!

Trails Dental has been great, I've never been a fan of x-rays but Megan made them so painless. Dr. Cicone was very informative about treatment options and made me feel heard when I expressed concerns about my gums and provided me with several additional treatment options not available at my last dentist. Fariba, my hygienist was great as always! I can already feel and see the difference in my gums. Thank you Trails!

I went in to have a follow up visit after a deep cleaning I had at another dentist. I was not expecting to be triggered by the mere mention of having to have my pockets checked, but I was. I do have ptsd but this is not something that usually bothers me in fact most procedures that make people squirm don’t bother me at all and I’ve been doing so much better with the things that do. Apparently even though I have had plenty of exams in this office, they are not allowed to just do a cleaning without doing the pocket checks again. The hygienist was phenomenal actually. She looked me in the eye and said she understood. Then she gave me a hug. Sitting at home now and still thinking about that hug. I hope one day I can be like that for someone who needs it. It didn’t take the struggle away that I’m facing, but it gave me hope and sometimes that’s all we need to keep going.

I’ve been going to Trails Dental for years. Grateful for the good dental care that I receive here. Fariba my hygienist is the best -- thorough yet gentle! Destiny helped with polishing my teeth during a recent cleaning and she was great too.

Such wonderful people! I was feeling nervous about my fillings and Dr. Diehl & Abby were incredibly kind and thoughtful. Gave me a stress ball and a fuzzy blanket — plus, let me listen to a podcast throughout the procedure. Best dental experience I’ve ever had!

Trails Dentistry & Orthodontics on FM 620 is one of the best dental offices I’ve ever been to. I’ve been going here for over 2 years for both dental work and Invisalign, and it has consistently been a great experience. From the moment you walk in, Amy, Jessica, and Abby at the front desk make you feel welcomed, and that goes a long way. They’re always friendly and helpful, which sets the tone for every visit. Usually I’m then greeted by my orthodontic assistant, Tasha, who always has a few jokes ready while walking me back. From there, I work with my orthodontist, Taryn Slepicoff, who has done an amazing job not only fixing my crooked teeth, but also making sure I feel heard throughout the entire process. She’s always asking for feedback on how I feel about the progress and whether we should continue with more trays or call it good. That level of care and communication really keeps me coming back. Over the last couple of years, I’ve built great relationships with everyone there. Even though I live farther away and drive about an hour to get to Trails, I wouldn’t have it any other way. There are always jokes, laughs, and a genuinely positive atmosphere alongside great dental work.
