I am really beginning to appreciate this business. I love how they come up with a plan and initiate it, immediately!
I had called this place on an emergency because I had severe pain and a swollen cheek. They did get me in fast which I won’t complain about. HOWEVER the assistant that helped me didn’t introduce herself and didn’t ask any questions about my dental history THEN the doctor came in and asked me a question but I didn’t know she was the doctor she gave me no name no hi how are you NOTHING. I needed a tooth extracted but she offered to send me to a specialist to get a root canal and crown (estimating $5000) I told her I wanted it extracted and she said she could do it that same day but then after I was numbed I sat in the chair for about an hour they came back and the extraction was horrendous! I wasn’t offered sedation or anything she broke the tooth and had to dig for my root while I was awake! Then afterwards made a comment and said “if you come to us or your regular dentist either way you should get the rest of your teeth fixed before your back in this situation” and then left me. I went home crying I felt discarded and uncared for. She said she would prescribe pain meds but they never got prescribed. I heard how she was talking with every other patient made it that much worse. She was compassionate with everyone else but me. Won’t be returning won’t EVER refer anyone here.
First time was fine a couple of years ago and no issues back then… Unfortunately my long time dentist retired and went back to these guys. Yes I understand the $40 no show fee, however they stated I need to get 4 fillings fixed ASAP. Life happens and I got injured then sick. The front office kept switching up my appointment times on me 3 times at least because the dentist was not working this day. Like I said I got injured and sick but they can’t demand an answer from you and decide to charge another $40 fee for not getting back to them? It is very unprofessional because I had no control of my situation and was out of work for 2 weeks focusing on to feel better. Me and front office girl end up going at it over the phone then she states the fillings are done Monday to Wednesday, I work graveyard on those days. I asked why they don’t on Thursday and all of sudden there are no openings in June and scheduling out to July? What happened to these 4 fillings to be done ASAP?! I feel they are wasting patients time and scheduling… I called their other location and if they can’t do my 4 fillings… I will go to another dentist who will work with my availability and not charging just because they can. Disappointing.
The office staff and Vanessa are friendly and professional. Vanessa is very thorough and hard working. She’s very knowledgeable and put me at ease and explained everything to me. She went the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable and satisfied with me experience!
You need to update your website and the sign in the front of your office. You don’t answer the phone. The link to make an appointment is broken. I took my daughter in for an emergency appointment in a Friday at 2pm and you had no providers.
Dr Rainey and staff are wonderful. I had huge dental anxiety, and hadn’t seen a dentist for many years. They were ALL very caring, gentle and reassuring. Dr Rainey cares about saving and retaining teeth vs just “pulling out”. The front office was also very helpful navigating insurance coverage. I highly recommend this office.
I rarely write reviews, but thought it important to write this review based on the very disappointing experience with Tru Care Dental on McMahon. I have been going to Tru Care Dental for many years and for the most part had positive experience until now. I had a crown done a couple months ago at Tru Care Dental and was charged over $900 even with my Delta Dental insurance. When I received my receipt, it included a charge for another patient and despite many requests, the office could not provide a clear, corrected receipt. I ended up having to dispute the charge with my credit card company because the billing was so confusing. The credit card company asked for the receipt but after I uploaded the receipt—which the credit card company also found confusing—the charge was reinstated back to Tru Care Dental. I informed the dental office that the payment had been sent back to them and asked again for the incorrect patient information to be removed so I could be properly reimbursed. When I followed up, I was given the runaround, and a man in the office (who staff said was the owner) was very rude and insisted the charges were “correct,” even though the receipts were full of errors. I had no outstanding balance, yet they could not provide a clear, accurate statement for my visit. On top of that, about a month after the crown, I developed a severe infection in that tooth and had to go to an endodontist for an emergency root canal. Overall, very unprofessional experience with Tru Care Dental in both billing and dental care.
Been going here for the last 10 years so disappointing on the drastic change. Businesses wonder what happened. Changes can be good but not this time.I tried giving her chances but she worked on my right side and my whole entire mouth was sliced up and her excuse was some tooth are more sensitive. I totally understand that I do but my whole entire mouth My daughter went in here and she said the same thing without me saying anything the dentist tore her whole mouth up tooo Is that a coincidence? I wouldn’t want to find out again. She makes you wait And when she finally comes in, I’m not even kidding she says I’ll be right back. Had a 12 o’clock appointment 45 minutes later she still hasn’t started on my tooth kept saying sorry I’ll be back so I walked out. Saw her in another room working on somebody else’s teeth ridiculous.. Even more ridiculous is when I finally said I’m good and the front desk said well we did tell you It Was gonna take three hours. I didn’t know she meant 2 1/2 hours was Waiting. Not want to complain, but what a waste of my time. they need to have their Appointments more organized And better planned very disappointing like I said, I’ve been going there for 10 years didn’t want to go looking for another Dentist
Avoid TruCare Dental – Poor Communication & Lack of Transparency I had an extremely frustrating and unsettling experience here. I called to clarify coverage, explaining I had already been seen by a dentist and was in the process of getting my crown replaced. Jessica didn’t even review my policy or check what my coverage actually allowed. She never asked how many emergency visits I had used this year (I’m only allotted two), yet at the end of the conversation she suddenly stated I’d be billed for an emergency visit. This was dropped on me last minute, without any clear breakdown of costs, and without confirming whether it would even be covered. Instead of making sure I understood my options, she tried to get me in on a same-day cancellation without addressing my concerns. The entire interaction made me feel uneasy—like I was being set up for a surprise bill. If clear communication, honesty, and respecting a patient’s insurance limitations matter to you, I strongly recommend going elsewhere
