Sedation Dentistry in Garden District

About Tucson Dental Studio

Tucson Dental Studio provides dental care on North Swan Road in the Garden District area of Tucson, Arizona. Sedation dentistry uses inhaled, oral, or intravenous options to help patients relax through treatment, ranging from nitrous oxide for mild anxiety through to deeper sedation for longer or more involved procedures. It is commonly used for patients who have avoided the dentist for years due to fear.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. Get in touch through it to ask questions or book a visit.

It is one of the main reasons people use it. For patients who have avoided treatment for years, sedation often makes the first appointment possible, and some become more comfortable with routine care afterward.

This place is defiantly welcoming and reassuring. I called and got an apt right away due to my tooth pain. I didn't have to wait long once I filled out the paperwork. The office staff helped me so much and are so kind. Being 33, Iv never actually been to the dentist. I was so scared but Dr. Cubra and his assistant Jessica made me feel so comfortable and relaxed I would defiantly recommend coming here. They talked throughout the whole process and I didn't feel a single thing! They are so gentle and caring. I appreciate everything your staff did for me yesterday! Thank you guys so much! No more headaches!! 5 stars!

Such an amazing dental studio! My family and I have had a difficult time finding a good dentist, but ever since coming here we have not looked back. They are so understanding and caring towards whatever issues you have going on, and instead of dreading dental appointments I'm now excited to go! Everyone is seriously so friendly and the environment is welcoming, I've never felt judged for whatever I had going on or needed help with. They are seriously looking out for you! From the time you come in to the time you leave, they're always checking in and are so incredible -- Please book with them!!!

I can't recommend Dr. Cubra and his team highly enough! While visiting Tucson, I had an unexpected dental emergency, and they were able to see me immediately. From the moment I arrived, everyone was kind, professional, and genuinely caring. The office is welcoming and efficiently run. Jessica, the dental assistant, was outstanding—friendly, compassionate, attentive, and informed. She made me feel comfortable and at ease throughout my visit. Dr. Cubra was exceptional. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and provided excellent immediate care (and relief) with both skill and compassion. What started as a stressful out-of-town dental emergency turned into one of the best healthcare experiences I've had. I was so impressed that I recommended Dr. Cubra to my son, who recently moved to Tucson, and encouraged him to make Dr. Cubra his regular dentist. If you're looking for an outstanding dentist in Tucson, look no further. Dr. Cubra, Jessica, and the entire team provide exceptional care and truly put their patients first. Thank you for turning a difficult situation into such a positive experience!

The hygienist and dentist was good but what really grossed me out was the women’s restroom! There was one functional soap dispenser, with hand sanitizer on top of the soap dispenser, and an overflowing toilet with human excrement in it!! The bathroom was gross! I told the young lady at the desk and it appeared she already knew this was an issue and didn’t even take time to put a sign on the door. It’s like going to a restaurant and noticing that the staff are not properly washing their hands. Not to mention people are putting their hands in your mouth and there is poop flowing out the broken toilet! Everything screams unsanitary!

I was always greeted by my name when I came in for my appointment, the girls at the front desk are wonderful! The Dental assistant was always nice and very understanding of my problems with my new dentures, very professional. As for the New Dentist I am unable to say anything as I only saw him once, he seemed pretty nice for the 2 minutes he was in the treatment room. Overall I had very good experiences when I came in. I appreciate the staff so much, they always made. Me feel comfortable. I Thank them all.

It was my first visit here at Tucson Dental studio GREAT first time visit with them. The staff is very friendly from the front office to the back. It’s a very welcoming atmosphere. Both the doctor and hygienist explained everything to me in great details. I did not feel rushed or just a number. I am so happy I was recommended to this office. I highly recommend this office

I was so bummed to hear that Dr. Spader sold his practice, he was fantastic but Dr. Cubra has been amazing. He’s friendly, gentle, and instantly made me feel comfortable. The transition was seamless, and I couldn’t be happier with the care I’m getting now. - Bayze
