About U. Phillip Igbinadolor, D.M.D. & Associates, P.A.
U. Phillip Igbinadolor, D.M.D. & Associates, P.A. provides dental care on West Sugar Creek Road in the Mineral Springs / Rumple Road area of Charlotte, North Carolina. Wisdom teeth are removed when they are impacted, repeatedly infected, decayed, or damaging the tooth in front, since they arrive last and often into a jaw with no room left. Not every wisdom tooth needs to come out — one that erupts cleanly and can be kept clean is often left alone.
Oral surgery covers procedures beyond routine treatment — surgical extractions including impacted wisdom teeth, implant placement, and bone grafting among the more common ones. The distinguishing feature is generally that tissue is opened and closed as part of the procedure, rather than treated at the surface.
Comprehensive care generally means a practice can handle most of a patient's dental needs in-house — preventive, restorative, and often minor cosmetic or surgical treatment — reducing how often patients are referred elsewhere for routine work.
A filling repairs a tooth after decay has been cleaned out, most often using tooth-coloured composite resin that is shaped and bonded to blend with the surrounding tooth. It is usually completed in a single appointment and is one of the most routine restorative procedures in dentistry.
Tooth Decay Treatment is also among the treatments offered here, and the practice can explain what it involves and whether it fits your situation at a consultation.
General dentistry covers the routine and restorative care most people need most often — examinations, cleanings, fillings, and preventive checks that catch problems while they are still small and inexpensive to treat. Regular attendance, roughly every six months for most patients, is what makes that early-catch approach actually work.
Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not. Contact details for U. If you dont have a problem they will be sure to give you one! Went in by appointment for a cleaning walked away with 3-5 new holes in my teeth and did not show for the “fillings” appointment. The cleaning was painful, should have know something wasn’t right but it had been a few years since actually getting work done in my mouth. This was a rude first experience for me. Im in my early 20s and i never had to find or schedule my own appointment before. Noted, if the building looks old and outdated the work done will be the same.
Literally one of the best dentist I've ever had. He was my dentist from 2007-2022. He was considerate and did a great job. Believe it or not, there was a glitch in the system that showed I was no longer covered when I went to my appointment. It took me almost an hour one way to get to his office. They never called my cell phone to tell me this. I was not at home but was with my mother who was in the hospital. They said they called my home phone. There was no message left there and they for sure did not call my cell. I was already seated in the waiting room before I was told that it was showing I had no insurance. I told them nothing had changed and it's always been the same. I told them it must be a glitch in the system and I would call but then I noticed I didn't have my cell phone. I would have paid for my cleaning out of pocket had they given me the chance but that wasn't offered either. They refused to let me use one of their phones. I could not believe it and Dr. Igbinadolor was standing there the whole time. Needless to say, it was a glitch and I was covered but because of the way I was treated after being a patient for so many years and never owing a dime I left. I switched from a DMO plan to a PPO so I could have more choices. I still feel he's been one of the best dentist I've ever had but was so sad he felt like I was lying about being covered. Do give this office a chance because I feel they are worth it.
Dr. Igbinadolor and his staff were amazing, kind, professional, and super gentle. I felt comfortable the entire time. Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality dental care in Charlotte!
Best dentist in town. Great family dentist who listens and makes sure you get the best services. Always caring and makes sure you are ok and your teeth is amazing and healthy. We have been with him since 2005 and have not had a bad experience. Always keeps me and my husbands teeth and gums healthy.
New patient of Dr. Phillip. Initial exam very thorough. 2nd visit extraction of 2 teeth with moderate discomfort. Appreciate him and his staff's professionalism. Will contact as his patient and confident he can improve my oral hygiene and cosmetics.
