Northwest 12th Avenue at 1400, Allapattah, Miami FL 33136, is the main campus address of the University of Miami Health System — the UHealth academic medical center that anchors the Jackson Health System and the Civic Center medical district in the Allapattah neighborhood northwest of downtown Miami. This campus includes the University of Miami Hospital, the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Jackson Memorial Hospital, and a concentration of specialty clinics that form one of the largest academic medical centers in the southeastern United States.
University of Miami Hospital And Clinics (UHealth) at this Allapattah campus address provides general dental services within the broader academic medicine framework of the University of Miami health system. Dental services at a major academic medical center campus like this one typically operate through the University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine clinical network, providing dental care that benefits from proximity to the full range of medical specialties available on the campus.
For patients who are already receiving medical care at the UHealth campus — cancer patients at Sylvester, surgical recovery patients, patients with complex medical conditions that require dental care coordination with medical teams — having dental services available within the same campus eliminates the logistical barrier of traveling to a separate dental facility for patients who are medically fragile or receiving intensive treatment.
The Allapattah location at 1400 NW 12th Avenue is accessible by Miami-Dade Transit bus routes that connect the Civic Center medical campus to the broader Miami transit network, and by car from I-95 via the NW 8th Street exit that deposits patients at the edge of the medical campus. The surrounding Allapattah neighborhood is a working-class, predominantly Honduran and Caribbean-American community that surrounds the academic medical district.
For patients in Allapattah and the Miami medical campus community of ZIP 33136 who need dental services within the University of Miami academic medical ecosystem, the University of Miami Hospital And Clinics at 1400 NW 12th Avenue provides that integrated dental access at South Florida's largest academic health center campus.

My husband recently passed away st u Miami He battled heart failure for twenty five years Although at times he met with system challenges his stays in icu could not have been better. The nurses and doctors were kind effcient and caring. Everyone went beyond to help and care. That being said I want to share my disappointment with the head of the heart failure unit Namely dr weaver pinzon and dr manning Both were my husbands doctors from the time they arrived at this hospital. Although skeptical he gave his faith to this team It was during holiday he was very sick not one visit from either although I understand his priority being at Jackson with transplant and l vad patients. His lack of consideration. Compassion and. I cannot ever know whether he consulted saddened me It is not easy to face a family when they loose someone. But it is a professional and compassionate Has this what medcine come to Just a side note. His other docs from the hospital did call. It takes five minutes I hope that dr pinzon reads this and changes his approach to patients that might not draw the same revenue for the hospital Disappointed not angry Sherri schulman
I had the privilege of being treated by Dr. Austin Dosch a colorectal surgeon at the University of Miami, and I can confidently say that he is truly exceptional. Dr. Dosch combines remarkable clinical expertise with genuine humility and compassion, a rare and admirable balance in the medical field. From the very first consultation, he took the time to listen attentively, explain every detail with clarity, and ensure we were informed and comfortable at every step. His depth of knowledge and precision in surgical care reflect his outstanding professionalism and commitment to excellence. Beyond his technical skill, what truly stands out is Dr. Dosh’s kindness, respect, and empathy toward his patients. He treats each person with dignity and care, creating a sense of trust and reassurance that is invaluable during such delicate situations. I am deeply grateful for his dedication and the high-quality care he provides. Dr. Dosch is not only an exceptional surgeon but also an extraordinary human being. I recommend him without reservation to anyone seeking the very best colorectal care.
Guys even do their service are very nice but this hospital is only for rich people. They provide you services then they kill you with a bill. They charges are insane and on top of that they don't even tell you anything before the service. If you call the billing department they can't help you . I had an injection and the billing was for $10500. What the hell they inject me a new soul?. And on top of that the description says 3 injection. I been calling billing departmen with no luck. So I had to escalate to the insurance company. If the cancer is not going to kill me the billing department will.
I wanted to thanks My UM General Medicine to Neuro Team to my Nurses to CNA. They were so supportive and amazing. Couldn’t thank them enough. My nurses were amazing they made my birthday so special. Couldn’t ask for a better team! My doctors were able to solve my pain and now I able to be with kids. I was admitted for 11 days and the nurses I got, I won’t mention name for privacy reasons but if need you can reach me out. I had nurses and cna that didn’t see me as a patient but a human and would actually talk to me. Also, nurses that weren’t my nurses were so sweet to me also. If I had recommended a hospital, I recommend this one. 100%
This hospital is part of the Jackson Memorial Hospital system. Most people I confer with state that they prefer to go to this particular hospital. Being that it is a" teaching" hospital, many of the doctors/nurses are very dedicated and esteemed in their specialties. The interns are very dedicated and treat the patients with the knowledge and care their mentors have instilled in them professionally. You definitely receive the proper care for whatever ailment/illness has an individual hospitalized. Also the staff is very concerned and meticulous about after care and the general well being of their patients upon their release. Once you step through these doors, rest assured your health and care is the main priority of this hospital's staff. JE.
