I recently visited Urban Smiles Victoria for a teeth cleaning. I was told I would need 4–5 cleaning sessions, which would cost much more than I expected. Three months ago, I met a friend who works in dental care on the Mainland. After I told her about my treatment plan, she said that based on what she saw, I should only need one cleaning session. I also had my teeth cleaned in India, where the entire cleaning was completed in a single appointment. Based on my experience, I recommend getting a second opinion before committing to multiple cleaning sessions or an expensive treatment plan. It’s always a good idea to compare recommendations and make an informed decision

Been going to urban smiles for years. All the hygienist are wonderful and friendly. (Reception too!) Dr. Livingston is always awesome with my kids. Highly recommend.

If you're looking for real reviews, here is mine. Its review for Jade Haxton, because she was dentist who done all work for us. My girlfriend and I visited this place for a cleaning and an examination. During the examination, they found a lot of "problems" that supposedly needed to be fixed. Unfortunately, we don't have a high income, so we used the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), if that makes any difference in the treatment we received. Of course, we agreed to fix those issues, although we still had to pay around 30% of the bill ourselves. It turned out to be one of the worst decisions of our lives. After the treatment, both my girlfriend and I ended up with permanent pain in several teeth. They damaged my upper left tooth, and now I need to pay a large amount of money at another clinic to fix it. Our lives were calm and pain-free before, but now we deal with tooth pain every single day. The response my girlfriend received from the dentist at Urban Smiles was unbelievable: "You just need to live with it." She was charged $100 CAD just to hear that. This place is so bad that I honestly don't understand how it's still operating.

I had a great experience at Urban Smiles Victoria. My dental hygienist, Alyssa, was absolutely wonderful—she was very gentle throughout the cleaning and made me feel comfortable the entire time. I really appreciated how clearly she explained each step of the procedure, which helped ease any nerves I had. I also had a general check-up with Dr. Livingstone, and the experience was just as positive. Both Alyssa and Dr. Livingstone were professional, kind, and thorough. I’m very grateful for the care I received and want to thank the whole team for their excellent service. Highly recommend!

They were SO patient with my 3.5 year old daughter. She was grabbing tools and running around and they managed to keep her attention, actually clean her teeth which I didn’t expect for her first real cleaning, and I think she’ll actually be excited to go back. The office is beautiful. I actually found parking right out front so that was also unexpected considering the downtown location. Reception was welcoming and showed patience and kindness. Vina (I’m not positive I got her name right) was very very good with her, she showed her the tools she was interested in, my daughter wanted to use them herself so she was patient and guided her to use them safely, and Brett the dentist let her show him her teeth from up in my arms when she refused to lay down again. This is the third office I’ve tried for Charlie and it will be the one we stick with. They billed my insurance direct too which is nice. Five stars and if I could give more I would.
