Valer Dental & Braces is a dental practice offering orthodontic and braces services, located at 1514 Coors Blvd NW in the West Valley area of Albuquerque, New Mexico. The practice serves the 87121 zip code and the surrounding west Albuquerque communities along the Coors Blvd NW corridor.
Orthodontic treatment at Valer Dental & Braces addresses misaligned teeth, spacing issues, crowding, and bite irregularities for patients seeking a straighter smile and improved dental function. Traditional metal braces remain one of the most effective and widely used orthodontic treatment systems, suitable for a broad range of case types and age groups. Ceramic braces offer a more discreet alternative while maintaining the mechanical advantages of fixed appliances.
The combination of general dental care and braces services at one location can simplify care coordination for patients who need routine dental maintenance alongside active orthodontic treatment. Patients in braces typically require more frequent monitoring appointments every four to eight weeks, in addition to their routine preventive dental care schedule.
Orthodontic consultations at Valer Dental & Braces typically include a clinical examination, X-rays, and photographs to assess the bite and plan a course of treatment. Patients should request a written treatment plan with a full cost breakdown and payment schedule before committing to orthodontic care, as treatment timelines can span one to three years depending on the case complexity and the degree of tooth movement required.
Coors Blvd NW at this location is in the West Valley and Southwest community of Albuquerque, accessible from communities including the Volcano Cliffs, Westgate, and Atrisco Heritage neighborhoods. The practice maintains regular office hours, and parking is available at the commercial location.

Patients beginning orthodontic treatment should understand that good oral hygiene is especially important during active treatment. Food and plaque accumulate more easily around brackets and wires, and the risk of developing white spot lesions (early decay) on the tooth surfaces increases if brushing and flossing are not thorough. The treating dentist or orthodontist will typically review hygiene technique at early appointments to help patients manage this risk.

I arrived 15 min before my appt time, an hour after they still had not called me back I was the only one in the lobby. The staff never came out to inform me there was a delay or that they would call me back in a few minutes. I then asked the cancel and they didn’t even bother asking or apologizing for the wait. No customer service, I will not return here.
We are very pleased with our services with Valer Dental! They go above and beyond to make my children feel comfortable. They are always on time and very friendly and welcoming! They definitely treat us like family! We love coming here! Thank you all for your great customer service and friendly smiles!
First I want to say that I've been going here for a few years and I have been very happy with the service, the providers and the friendliness of the staff. I am currently in the process of getting cosmetic crowns. I was told when the temps were fitted they might come loose or fall out and if so to just give them a call Today (6-5-26) I did have the canine fall out. They said only orthodontic staff were there today but when I explained what I needed one of the ortho staff agreed to help. They got me in quickly and I want to express how grateful I am to Deanne for fixing this. She was patient, diligent, careful and sweet. And she was very thorough in making sure it was in snugly and would stay there. These people work hard and really care. Please give them the appreciation they deserve!
Honestly, it's awful going there. Instead of helping you, they make things worse, and when you say something, they just ignore you. They take your money to fix their own mistakes. If you don't want to waste your money, I recommend looking for better, more professional dentists.
Everyone from the time I made my appointment until the extractions(2) were complete were just awesome. Dr. Lowe is probably the gentlest most efficient dentist I've ever sat on the chair for. Thanks guys!!! I'll be seeing you guys again soon for more dental care. God bless you all!!
I first came to Valer Dental because they could see me for a hurting tooth when my usual dentistry comfort dental could not. I was seen and got a filling on the same day and the service was exceptional. I have a primary and secondary insurance in which they had a hard time billing so I was charged 65$ out of pocket until they could figure out my insurance. I was told that I would receive a call back when or if it went through so that I could get a refund for the service. Weeks go by and my billing statements for both insurances come and show that the service was paid for. I then decided that since I had a good first experience I would move my family to Valer Dental and talk about the refund after I scheduled cleanings for everyone. I went in for my cleaning and was in need of other services in which they were again having issues running it through both my insurances. I was able to get a refund process started for the previous visit but was not told how long it would be before I may receive it. My family comes in later that day for “cleanings” and was instead taken for and exam and X-rays. It would have been nice to know ahead of time that cleanings would not happen that day and the scheduler failed to inform me. My daughter will need to get her wisdom teeth removed and they are quoting me 800$ because they still cannot understand how to properly run my secondary insurance. It seems as though every time I try to explain or show them information they act like I don’t know what I’m talking about or tell me to call my insurance myself. I will be doing the foot work for them on the next coming weekday and will come into their office to hopefully get this right for future visits. I love this dental office but I will not stay if they continue to hassle me with billing when I have excellent government health and dental insurance. Comfort dental service is not the greatest but at least the knew how to bill me properly.
Horrible customer service. I called prior the the appointment and was on hold for more than 15 minutes so I hung up. We came in at 10:45 to fill out paper work for a braces consult. I had a question and the receptionist had her child there. The child kept interrupting to show her something and she kept ignoring my questions to attend her child’s questions. while she’s at work. I turned in the paper work and we were waiting to get called back and everyone was getting called back and after about 10 minutes the receptionist asked me “are you done with your paper work” and I told her I turned it in already. So they forgot to check us in, until I asked when we were going to get called back and that’s when they finally called us after waiting. And the other receptionists super rude no smiles. The gentleman who helped us was super nice and the doctor as well no complaints there! They were beyond nice. But the front desk needs to be more kind and more informative to their patients. Doctor told me to get the fees and Norma said we don’t do that until you get a response from the insurance but the Dr and the gentleman who helped us directly told us to get the fees and she was just like let me ask the doctor so I just walked out. I rather just deal with someone else who’s actually willing to help out. And only reason these people have so many “good reviews” is because they offer a $50 gift card if you leave one. They have signs everywhere offering $50 if you scan the QR code and leave a GOOD review
