About Ventura Endodontics

Ventura Endodontics operates on Telegraph Road in Ventura, California. Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the space, and allows the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. Its reputation for being painful is largely outdated — carried out under local anaesthetic, it typically relieves pain rather than causing it.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts. Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Ventura Endodontics located in Ventura?
Ventura Endodontics is on Telegraph Road in Ventura, California (93003).
What days is Ventura Endodontics open?
Ventura Endodontics is open Monday through Friday. Contact the practice through this page to confirm current appointment times before travelling.
What services does Ventura Endodontics offer?
Listed services at Ventura Endodontics include Root Canal Treatment. The full list is shown on this page.
Do I need a crown after a root canal?
Often yes, particularly on back teeth. A treated tooth loses internal structure and becomes more brittle, so a crown is usually recommended to protect it against fracture under chewing forces.
What happens if I do not get a root canal?
The infection inside the tooth does not resolve by itself. It typically progresses to an abscess and can spread into surrounding bone, and the tooth is far more likely to be lost. Extraction becomes the alternative once the tooth cannot be saved.
How can I look after my teeth between appointments?
Brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste and cleaning between the teeth daily covers most of it. Limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount consumed.

Everyone was so kind and thoughtful. It was only a consult and referral but I still felt very well taken care of.

Horrible experience- I was in the chair for 10 minutes when the Dr told me a root canal could not be done. My issue was not the Dr- he was kind, my issue is the staff up front told me to bring my x ray scan since I had 1 with me, the day of the exam, so they roped me into a appt. Dr determined when he looked at it the root canal was not the option, had the staff told me to drop it before my appt he could have glanced at it and I wouldn’t have paid the $150 to sit in a seat 10 min. Could have saved me time and. Money. Drop off your stuff before making a appt/ save your time and cost. 1star because the Dr was nice but poor operation up front. I’m sorry for the review but care about your clients needs.

I can’t thank the team at Ventura Endodontics enough for the incredible care I received. I was in severe pain and needed a root canal right away. They were kind enough to work me into their schedule that same morning, which meant so much to me. Dr Jue was absolutely amazing—professional, gentle, compassionate, and took the time to make sure I was comfortable throughout the entire procedure. The staff was friendly, caring, and made it a stressful situation so much easier. If you’re in need of an endodontist, I highly recommend Ventura Endodontics. Their exceptional care, compassion, and willingness to help patients in urgent situations truly set them apart. Thank you for turning such a painful experience into a positive one!

My overall experience with Ventura endodontics was excellent! The whole procedure was totally pain-free using local anesthesia. I thank Dr Jue and staff, for their excellent care that I received through the whole process of a root canal.

My appointment was on time all the front desk ladies were friendly and kind. My dentist Erin Duarte was great! She talked thru the appointment telling me what she was doing! The most painless root canal ever! I will certainly recommend Ventura Endodontics to my friends!

Great! Front office staff were pleasant, helpful, and kind, Dr. Duarte was excellent on all levels, and the whole experience was top notch (even though my teeth aren’t). I held back back on my impulse to hug Dr. Duarte after she walked me back to the front desk, but that’s where I was at when I left the place. They know what they are doing!

The office itself is beautiful and clean. The garden you get to look at from the chair is really peaceful and lovely. The staff were very competent and kind. I got to meet Dr Duarte and she was so kind and patient. She explained things to me super well. I have only positive things to say about it.

I dd not want to go for my appointment, felt sooo nervous. As soon as I walked through the door my nerves calmed down because of the comfortable waiting room and very nice office staff. Dr Duarte was so easy to talk to and a smooth endodentist. There were big windows to look out of with a relaxing view and I didn’t feel any pain during the procedure. I was in and out so quickly and 10/10 recommend Dr Duarte and Ventura Endo
