About Warwick Family Dental Group

Warwick Family Dental Group is located at 800 Toll Gate Road in Warwick, Rhode Island — an affordable family dental practice on one of the city's prominent commercial corridors. Toll Gate Road is a major east-west artery in Warwick, running from the Route 2 corridor toward the city's western residential neighborhoods and commercial districts. Warwick is Rhode Island's second-largest city by population, home to approximately 82,000 residents across a sprawling area that encompasses T.F. Green Airport, Providence's largest suburban commercial market, and extensive Narragansett Bay shoreline. The Toll Gate Road address places Warwick Family Dental Group in the city's interior commercial zone, accessible from the network of residential neighborhoods that fan out from Warwick's main corridors.

Warwick Family Dental Group provides affordable family dental care for patients of all ages across Warwick and the surrounding communities. Services span the full scope of preventive and restorative family dentistry: comprehensive oral examinations for children and adults, professional cleanings, dental radiographs, tooth-colored fillings, crown restorations for damaged teeth, and routine dental maintenance for the whole family under one roof. The affordable family practice model reflects a deliberate focus on cost-accessible care for the working-class and middle-class Warwick households that make up the city's demographic majority.

Toll Gate Road's commercial accessibility makes the practice reachable from Warwick's extensive residential network as well as from neighboring Cranston to the north, West Warwick to the west, and East Greenwich to the south. Warwick's dental market includes numerous private and group practices distributed across the city, and Warwick Family Dental Group's affordable family focus carves a distinct niche within this competitive landscape for patients who prioritize value alongside quality of care. Specialist dental services — orthodontics, periodontics, oral surgery — are available from dedicated providers throughout Warwick and the greater Providence metro area.

For Warwick families seeking affordable, comprehensive family dental care on Toll Gate Road, Warwick Family Dental Group provides accessible community dentistry for patients from toddlers to seniors.

My dentists office became part of Warwick Family Dental a few years back and his original crew of dental hygienists were a pretty tough act to follow. I have had 2 different hygienists so far at WFD and they have both been excellent. My teeth feel so clean when I leave there. I also had an issue with a few ill fitting veneers and Dr. Shehadeh was patient and took the time to listen to my concerns. They were finally redone and they look and feel great!

Everyone was pleasant and friendly. My appointment was on time. The dr was attentive to my concerns and was very happy to help me with my dental work. It was my first appointment but I felt very comfortable.

I have to update this review. Because I was so easily deceived my first appt. I recently had a very frustrating experience with this dental office. My first appointment was for a crown, but they couldn’t complete it and told me I needed a root canal first. I went ahead and got the root canal done and called to schedule the crown. Shortly after, I found out the dentist had quit. I was rescheduled two months out, leaving me with temporary, poor-quality fillings from the root canal. Two days before the new appointment, I was called again—another dentist change, and my appointment had to be canceled and rescheduled yet again. I had already paid upfront for this crown procedure, and yet the entire process has been a nightmare. I do not recommend this office. They are highly unorganized, with constant dentist turnover and serious administrative issues that leave patients in limbo.

Been coming to this practice for a while now even before it became WFD and I have always had the best experience. My hygienist was professional, did an amazing cleaning job and addressed all concerns. I’d give a personal shoutout but not sure of her name! Great experience and I highly recommend this practice.

Very dissatisfied with this practice. My husband had a very painful toothache to which they did evaluate him in a timely manner. It was determined that the tooth would be extracted. Unfortunately the date for this was seven weeks away but they put him on a waiting list. Thankfully the pain subsided after three weeks . The day of his appointment , he was presented with the insurance and copayment papers . He took out his HSA card to pay the copayment and he was told to wait because they were going to reevaluate the papers again. Suddenly the payment was higher. He had the tooth extracted and was told the bleeding should stop within an hour. My husband is on blood thinners and it would not stop bleeding bright red blood. We called the office about five hours later to see what could be done. The answering took the message and we never heard back. The following day was a holiday and then it was the weekend. He got a voicemail on the Monday saying they received this message and wanted to know if he wanted to be seen on Tuesday. When I called the office and asked why they didn’t get back to us on Thursday she said they were closed and there’s nothing they could do. It’s been four days and no one bothered to get back to us. At the bottom of his paper he received that day it says to call and they will be happy to help but I guess that providing its during office hours.Thank goodness we were able to stop the bleeding ourselves after eight hours.

I was in yesterday for a cleaning and I didn't get the hygienist's name (she had a blonde bun) but she was fantastic. She was kind, friendly, thorough and gave me great tips on new products to try. She addressed all of my concerns and went out of her way to make sure I had a good experience. I've also seen other hygienists here and have consistently had positive experiences.

I'm incredibly thankful for the care and services - ie. Answering the phone, listening, confirming to come in. The front office staff, the assistant, and then the dentist. To me a huge dental emergency. I called practially in tears, somehow they squeeeeeeezzzeeeddd me in. I arrived and they said it may take a little bit but "We will get you seen." That made me feel heard, seen and they cared! I will be forever grateful 🙏!

Definitely one of the most unprofessional healthcare experiences I’ve had. I feel like the hygienist I had wasn’t fully listening to me when I explained my dental background. She wasn’t very compassionate and it felt like she was trying to convince me that the dental-related pain that I’ve been experiencing for months was due to reasons that had nothing to do with it, even after I repeatedly told her my history and treatment background and what the pain was actually stemming from. She also gaslit me, saying that I didn’t have any crowns in my mouth from past work that I’ve had done and that they were just fillings. The thousands of dollars that are no longer in my bank account and the detailed notes I keep of my medical history (having worked in healthcare before) say otherwise, but okay. It felt like I was talking into the void, and this all happened within the first 5 minutes of my appointment. This was also my first time at this practice after having a rough experience at another local office that caused my current pain. I voiced that to her. My anxiety was already high going in and this interaction just made it worse and made me emotional and teary eyed during my cleaning. Although the cleaning itself was good, I also feel like my exam from the doctor wasn’t thorough. My last practice said I had some unfilled cavities 6 months ago, while this one said I had none… Overall I left my appointment frustrated, confused, and like I was not being heard or taken seriously over my health concerns… but at least my teeth are clean? I couldn’t wait to leave and am already nervous about my follow up appointment for next week.
