About Weekend Dentistry - Dental Emergency Care
Weekend Dentistry - Dental Emergency Care operates on North Loop 1604 West in San Antonio, Texas. Emergency dental care covers sudden problems that will not wait for a routine appointment — severe pain, a knocked-out or fractured tooth, swelling, or a lost filling that leaves a tooth exposed. Same-day or urgent appointments are the point of an emergency service, rather than the standard multi-week booking window.
Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.
A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.
Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.
Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.
Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost. Yes Amazing staff ,affordable pricing and finance options. They removed two teeth for me the same day also removed another small piece for free! I would definitely recommend going here for service they take care of their patients ,sincerely .
Fast, friendly and highly efficient. Just found my new preferred Dentist
We had a wonderful experience at this emergency dental office. My son started having wisdom tooth pain right before our vacation, and we needed some guidance on what to do. They got us in quickly, took the time to explain everything, and made us feel comfortable throughout the visit. They were able to remove his wisdom tooth the same day, which gave us peace of mind before leaving for our trip. The staff members we worked with were friendly, helpful, and caring. We truly appreciated how smoothly everything went and would definitely recommend this office to anyone needing prompt dental care.
Just had my tooth pulled out & they are amazing!! Quickest extraction ever! They are super nice and very welcoming.
Was looking for a dentist for my mother after 2 of her teeth broke. Found a recommendation for Concierge dental on the Nextdoor site and gave them a call. It was on Sunday! We got an appointment within an hour and boy are we glad we went. Everyone in this office is so friendly and professional. We were explained everything that could be done and not pressured to do things that were not needed. My mom had a partial for her front teeth already from another dentist and they even adjusted them for her and are going to add a tooth that is now missing in her mouth. I don’t know of another dentist that would use another dentists partial and not insist she get a new one from them. The dentist, Dr. Chu, was very knowledgeable and explained everything he would be doing to us. He pulled my mom’s teeth without her having any pain and very quickly. What was very important for us was that he listened to her about her strong reaction to high doses of lidocaine for numbing. Only dentist office we have ever been to that has multiple numbing options for their patients which was a big deal for her! The numbness in her face was completely gone within 2 hours. Cannot recommend them enough!
I would have given them a good review, but they “closed for maintenance’ without notice and left me with a temporary crown and no response. I had my temporary crown placed at the end of December. I paid for my whole procedure upfront and was waiting for my permanent crown when they closed for maintenance. Nobody has returned my calls or emails.
Dr. S. Ben Kim, MS, DDS should have a 5 Star rating. Excellent oral surgeon. And he has a great personality. Very patient, soft spoken and friendly. He makes you feel at ease during the procedure. As being an airline pilot and background in construction, I know someone that is an expert at what they do and at using his tools of the trade. Where other dentists in the past have struggled with my tooth extraction when broken and sectioning the tooth as they call it when it doesn't come out all at once, he handles it with ease. He was also very tolerant of me being awake for wisdom extractions as most people are put asleep for those. You will have a great experience with him.
I felt so unwelcomed with this practice. I made an appointment on-line after closing hours. I received a message that I can call because they had several openings. I called them to set an appointment. The person who took my information stated that they only take PPO, which I have however never stated that my plan was out of pocket. I give them my information and inadvertently gave them my medical number. I was told to call my provider and verify if it was PPO. I verified that it was indeed PPO but it was confusing due to my Medical/Dental card are one. I called back and I stated that was the individual who called previously. "Oh, yes, who is your insurance provider?" Once again, I stated the name. This time, I was quickly told, rudely, that they can see but I have to pay "full" price because my plan was out of network. I understand that doctors go in and out of network providers but being rude is not acceptable. This is one group that I will tell friends and family not to ever use. I wish I didn't have to give a star at all.
To leave a 5 star review after getting 2 teeth extracted says a lot lol. I was in the worst pain of my life and needed an emergency appointment. I called and they took me in right away. When I walked in Dr.Chu and the entire staff were so kind and helpful they answered all my questions were very informative about what to do and aftercare. The front desk ladies were so nice and I appreciate them being straight up about the price (no hidden fees) and procedure I needed. I was shaking because I was so scared for the extractions but Dr.Chu talked me through the whole thing and helped calm my nerves. Getting teeth pulled is very uncomfortable but given the situation I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you thank you thank you !!!!!!
The secretary at the front desk is not a people person, which is surprising since that role usually requires someone welcoming and approachable. The vibe felt weird and uneasy from the start, which set the tone for the visit. The dental assistant was cool, though I forgot his name. Dr. Chu came across as someone just there to clock in and clock out. I was planning to have my wisdom teeth removed, but they have not ruptured yet and are partially impacted in my jawbone. This office only offers local anesthesia, meaning you will remain fully awake and aware during the procedure. As someone with high anxiety, I absolutely need IV sedation, especially if they will be going into my bone. I ended up finding another office that not only provides IV sedation but also charges less. Ultimately, I chose not to move forward here because of the lack of empathy, the off-putting secretary, and the absence of sedation options. If you’re an anxious person and find yourself in a similar situation to mine, then this probably isn’t the place for you.
I had an emergency because of a broken tooth. I found them through Google. They gave me an immediate appointment, got me in a gave me a temporary crown. My dentist and technician were great. They kept me updated as they moved along the process. I’m changing my dentist to this group for everything. Going to ask my wife to join me here. Thank you Dr. Tsiki(spelling???).
I have had bad dental anxiety for my whole life!! I have let my teeth get in a bad spot and I came for a tooth extraction.. embarrassed about my teeth as well. Efrain and Dr. Chu made me feel so much better and did an amazing job of getting my tooth out quick!! Also recommended me to go to a dental hygiene school for a deep cleaning and encouraged me to come back to fix my other issues! Thank you for not scaring me more like other places I have been!! They are definitely worth going to see!! Thank you so much!
