I've been a patient at Everhart & Pinto (now Catamount Family Dental) since 2017. To be clear, my experiences were always fine with all the folks handling my cleanings, including Dr. Everhart. That said, the front desk team leaves a lot to be desired. They have consistently made me feel like an inconvenience when checking in to my appointments, brusquely handing me a clipboard to fill out the pre-appointment paperwork and barely acknowledging me otherwise. However, at my most recent appointment, my insurance provider had changed so I made sure to bring my new information and asked the woman at the front desk to confirm that they were indeed an in-network provider still and that my insurance would be accepted. She took my insurance card with a slight sigh and whirled around in her chair. Several minutes later, I was called in for my cleaning and I stopped at the front desk to collect my insurance card and an answer to my question. I was tersely handed my card back and given a quick "Yeah" when I again asked if they were in-network. A few weeks after my appointment, I received a bill for my cleaning in the mail that was for a lot more than my normal co-pay. When I contacted the front desk about this, I was greeted with total apathy. A simple, "Sorry for that mix up!" or something to that effect would have been appreciated, but there was absolutely zero care from the staff. Confirming they are a provider in-network though they actually aren't and then not offering even an apology after their error is wholly unprofessional. I will be transitioning to a new practice for my future cleanings.
Audra Pinto has been our family dentist for years. We switched from one of the "corporate" dental outfits and are glad we did. She offers excellent, professional care with a pleasant personality. With a conservative approach, when appropriate, Audra explains all possible choices for care and helps us make informed decisions. We are fortunate to have her as our dentist.
I have been a patient of Dr. Pinto's for 5 years or so, have had two crowns done by her, and found her and her staff warm, personal, and professional. She worked with me to get an unusual material (zirconium) for my most recent crown at my request which I appreciated. The hygienist I see (Villa) is very thorough and informative. The staff took my pain seriously recently when I had a cracked filling and squeezed me in right away. I really have only positive things to say.
When I originally started asking around for recommendations for a dentist, I had 2 different people tell me they love her so I figured I'd give them a go. I haven't looked back since. I absolutely love Dr. Pinto. She's been the only dentist I've ever had who knew that I needed more Novocaine because of being a redhead. She is always available for any emergency and gets me in quick, she never pushes "extras" like teeth whitening or whatever. She very thorough and patient. The dental assistants are all wonderful and careful not cause pain. I really love them and I hate dentists. Dr. Pinto is the only dentist I will go to.
Not so nice. Felt like i was bugging her to be a patient. grumpy. Her dental assistant was very nice and very welcoming but seemed scared of who she’s working for she scared before and after being snapped at. Filling was rush rush felt completely vulnerable during the 2 fillings, drill happy took way more tooth then needed the whole inside of my molars!! My next appointment ended up needing to reschedule informed I couldn’t make it first thing 7am 4 hours before and they sent me a letter saying I’m not welcome as a patient I get it but to also boot my daughter who didn’t reschedule. All because I was late for one other appointment that they rescheduled me for. Oh but if they are late or need to reschedule it’s okay.
