Wensleydale Dental proudly opened our own dental laboratory in 2015 to support our ever increasing dental practice. It has allowed us to offer our patients the same quality devices but at a greater speed as many prosthesis are now made on site. We started by purchasing a Sirona CAD/CAM milling unit and a furnace, and then employed our first technician. This allowed us to keep our crowns, bridges, inlays/onlays and veneers all in-house and ready within the hour to fit for our patients. Very quickly our lab grew, and we began making our own sports guards, night guards and bleaching trays. We then proceeded to provide a denture repair service for our patients and the general public. Our latest project is making dentures from start to finish and we have employed our second technician to help us achieve this service. Our lab, Wensleydale Dental Laboratory is fully registered with the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) with our registration number being CA015264. This allows us to manufacture medical and custom made devices to the CE standard following MHRA’s regulations. We are now members of the Dental Appliance Manufacturers Audit Scheme (DAMAS). DAMAS is an annually inspected quality system that provides a framework for an effective quality management system. This enables dental laboratories to prove to their clients that they are operating within the law. Should you require a fast denture repair service, please do visit our laboratory directly, which is located around the back of our practice. This service is open for our patients and the general public. However, should you be a regular NHS attendee of our practice, please do speak to our reception team, as we do provide an NHS denture repair service too!
