West End Smiles

I’ve been going to Dr. Hirstic at West End Smiles for over 20 years, and I truly wouldn’t trust anyone else with my dental care. Dr. Hirstic is caring, thorough, professional, and truly the best at what she does. The entire staff is always welcoming, friendly, and makes every visit a great experience. Ashley is my go-to hygienist and always does an amazing job. My whole family and many friends go to West End Smiles as well, and all love it just as much. Highly recommend!

couldn't have had a better experience! Stephanie was very helpful getting my appt setup and answering all my initial questions. At my appt today, Ashley was my person and she was AMAZING. It had been a LONG time since I'd been to a dentist and I was terrified and had no idea what to expect...Ashley was perfect for me. Making sure I was comfortable, was super nice and down to earth, and I'm really so glad I came in. Dr. Irina was very pleasant as well! I got a nice cleaning, and based on how long it's been since I've been to the dentist, and them reporting minimal issues, I know they are honest. Given all the time and minimal dental care I've had over the years, they could have easily said a lot more was wrong and they didn't. Practice was clean, everyone I came into contact with was very kind and I will be a patient for life now. Grateful for West End Smiles! Also, the music playlist was 100. **UPDATE** almost a year later and I still am so happy here! even though I will be moving 30 miles away, I love them so much I will be coming into the city to remain a patient!

Only a couple of ladies that are the dental hygienist who are unprofessional. One called my insurance and reported me. She also seemed that my teeth were horrible and I need to brush and floss and in front of my son. I was refused service when I still had insurance.

My visit to West End Smiles was very confusing and disappointing. I left feeling unheard and not supported as a patient. The dentist an older woman who seemed to be over the practice did not provide clear explanations or multiple treatment options, even though I have active dental insurance. It felt as if the focus was more on getting money from me rather than discussing what was truly necessary or in my best interest. Important information was not communicated to me before moving forward, which made the experience even more uncomfortable. The atmosphere when I first walked in felt unwelcoming, and the earlier phone interactions were not pleasant either. While the receptionist did become kind after speaking with me for a bit, the overall experience with the dentist felt dismissive, loud, and lacking empathy or patience. As a Black woman, I also left feeling there may have been some bias or lack of respect involved, which was extremely unsettling.

I had such a great experience with this office. I am a student from out of state and was having severe pain on a Friday. Being far from my dentist, I was grateful to be able to speak to Dr. Hrstic when most other offices were closed with no emergency line. She was incredible with getting me seen ASAP, and made me feel so heard. Everyone in the office was amazing, I highly recommend them if you are looking for a caring, talented dental team.

Like many folks, I grew up with terrible experiences with dentists. I came across West End Smiles by chance based off a review like this. As long as their doors are open, I’ll be a patient. The staff is always fantastic. Dr. Hrstic is even better. She is knowledgeable personable, and takes pride in taking care of her patients. I never thought I could walk out of the dentist with a smile on my face. With West End, the smile is there and it’s full of healthy teeth.
