Head north on Central Park Avenue past the long retail run of Yonkers into the 10710 blocks, and 1915 is one of the office buildings set back from the traffic, with this practice upstairs in suite 201. Westchester Dental Design is a general practice that has kept implant surgery in house rather than referring it out, and that is the distinction worth understanding before you compare it with the specialist-only offices elsewhere in the county.
Implant care covers both halves of the procedure: placement of the fixture and the restoration that goes on top. The mechanism is worth understanding before you price it. A titanium post takes over the space the root used to occupy in the jawbone, then is left alone to fuse with living bone, a biological process that cannot be hurried. Once it is stable, an abutment connects it to a crown shaped to your bite. Because both stages happen at the same office, the person who chose the implant position is the person who then has to make the crown fit and keep it cleanable, and that tends to show in the result.
Alongside implants, the practice runs full general coverage: exams and hygiene, digital X-rays, tooth-colored fillings, root canals, extractions, crowns, bridges and dentures, gum disease treatment, whitening, veneers and custom mouthguards. Laser dentistry is used for soft-tissue work, which usually means less bleeding during gum contouring or pocket treatment and a shorter settling period afterwards than a scalpel approach.
The Central Park Avenue location is convenient if you drive. It sits on a corridor with parking and straightforward access from Scarsdale, Tuckahoe and northeast Yonkers, and it is considerably less convenient if you depend on the Hudson Line and are coming from the waterfront side of the city. Hours are weekday only, opening at nine, with a slightly later Wednesday close and nothing at the weekend. On cost, understand that a single-implant quote and a full-mouth quote are different conversations. Ask specifically what an estimate includes, because grafting, the abutment and the crown are exactly the line items where quotes from different offices stop being comparable.

Dr Bavar was able to create a new molar for me - performing all of the steps and procedures so that I did not need to go to several dental specialists to get the tooth created. I absolutely love coming here! It’s been over 5+ years and I’ve never had a bad experience. All the staff and Dr Rao are incredibly kind and welcoming. Annmarie always helps me with my insane schedule and keeps me updated on appointments that open. The hygienists are so gentle and sweet. I completely two years of Invisalign with Dr Rao and the entire experience was so smooth. I have nothing but good things to say.

Dr. Rao is an excellent dentist. He explained everything ahead of time and helped reduce my anxiety. He did a great job on my teeth. Highly recommended. Also recommend Virginia who did such a thorough dental cleaning.
This is by my favorite dentist practice. The staff is efficient and professional, they run the schedule very well which means little or zero wait time, and Dr Rao himself has great bedside manner and is always very pleasant. I used to dread going to the dentist, not any more.

My first time and it was so wonderful! Annemarie is great at checking insurances and so professional. The only dental hygienist (Virginia Cabo) is so sweet and kind. Dr. Rao was knowledgeable and great. He seems rushed so I didn’t get to all my questions. A feedback is for him to ask the patient if they have any questions instead of ending the conversation after his summary and the patient needing to be like wait I have questions. But otherwise great experience overall!! Would recommend!!
