About Westend Dental - Lafayette

Westend Dental - Lafayette is a dental practice on Sagamore Parkway North in Lafayette, Indiana. A dental implant replaces a missing tooth at the root, not just the crown — a small titanium post is placed in the jaw bone and, once it has integrated over a period of months, a replacement tooth is attached to it. It is generally the most durable option for a single missing tooth or several.

Clear aligners straighten teeth through a series of custom, removable trays, each worn for one to two weeks before moving to the next in the sequence. They suit mild to moderate crowding and spacing well, and are worn roughly twenty to twenty-two hours a day for treatment to stay on schedule.

A veneer is a thin custom shell bonded to the front of a tooth to change its shape, length, or colour, most often used to address chips, gaps, or discoloration that whitening alone cannot fix. Traditional veneers require a small amount of enamel to be removed, which makes the change permanent.

Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the space, and allows the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. Its reputation for being painful is largely outdated — carried out under local anaesthetic, it typically relieves pain rather than causing it.

A crown covers an entire damaged tooth — used when too much structure is missing for a filling to hold reliably, whether from a large fracture, extensive decay, or after root canal treatment. It restores both the shape and the biting strength of the tooth underneath.

A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring a false tooth to crowns placed on the teeth either side of the gap, creating a fixed replacement rather than a removable one. It is a longstanding alternative to an implant, particularly when the neighbouring teeth already need crowns. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. I had a great experience at West End Dental! Dr. McGee and his assistant, Nany, were both amazing! They have such a great bedside manner and made me feel comfortable throughout my entire visit. They treated me with kindness, respect, and took the time to make sure I was at ease. I truly appreciate the excellent care I received and would highly recommend West End Dental to anyone looking for a friendly and professional dental team!

Dr McGee is amazing so caring about his patients but someone in office is singing durning the day both times I’ve been in which is alittle nerve racking when i can’t hear what he’s saying to me about my treatment. Over all 9 out of 10 for my favorite office to go to!!!

I’m gonna be honest, I’ve been going here a few years and it wasn’t my favorite dentist office…UNTIL TODAY! Dr. Charles MaGee (I think that’s it) was the nicest and kindest dentist I have EVER met! I have such bad anxiety and he was the first dentist to even act like they care. His assistant Nany was super sweet too and told me some helpful tips that no one has ever mentioned. He also didn’t make me feel embarrassed about my teeth or anything. Now, I still HATE going to the dentist but okay Doc, you the bomb! You made it as amazing as a dentist appointment could be! 💯

If I could give 0 stars I would. Constantly being called about a cavity and a Crown that I needed so bad for over a year ago I never once fixed the cavity nor the Crown my tooth is fine I have no pain. I've had a previous filling there that he did and then they didn't work or something happened I made an appointment I told the guy I would not let him open that tooth up because he could not assure me that it could be saved. He's like oh we're gonna do a filling and you're gonna need a Crown and I declined it because my insurance doesn't cover it. While he started to do a cleaning and he's like don't worry I'm just polishing the tooth Very odd he said oh don't worry I'm just polishing that but he hit my lip with his face and made me bleed so I got up and walked out (very back tooth no one can see it) I've been to the dentist enough to know that it wasn't the polish one. It sounded like he was drilling I could smell the smell of my tooth. I truly believe he was trying to get into the tooth to make a problem to cause an issue because they've called me every month for 13 months to make an appointment. Also told I needed a root canal on a front that gives me absolutely no problem at all. I will drive an hour and 55 minutes to a good dentist before I ever come back to this place. I should have listened to my gut feeling I cancled 3 appointments this week because I had a feeling. I called multiple times to talk to the dentist about an answer about what they were going to do never got a return call they were just going to go in open the tooth up and start doing work knowing my insurance did not cover it. Wouldn't give me an answer said oh then has to look at it. If you are a very good dentist you wouldn't have so many openings and constantly calling customers to make appointments. Please think twice before taking your kids or going here yourself the place is always dirty they dress them professional. My first appointment I waited an hour and 20 minutes before I walked out and the guy was wearing a sweatshirt. That was over a year ago and now I know why I walked out and I won't return

Great service and professional dentist and team there. The service highly meet my expectations. I had at least 3 dentists in town before this office. It is the best one providing me high quality dental care. I was charged at least $60 for annual check and cleaning from other dentist office, so I was expecting a charge for cleaning, but Zero charge to me. I received the same dental care from this office with No extra charge. One important is that the dentist cleaned my teeth. It was done by dentist's medical assists on me from other dentists. Highly recommended it. Please ignore other negative reviews. It is a great place to go if you have insurance to get your teeth taken care. One mild complaint is the front office for checking my eligibility based on my insurance coverage. It was a bit slow for verification. In my opinion, it should not take this kind of effort.
