I had a very disappointing experience with this dental office regarding my elderly mother’s denture. Her denture broke, and the office quoted us about $2,500 for a replacement because we were told that it could not be repaired. This was especially frustrating because the original denture had experienced problems previously and had been repaired after several months at no charge. Despite the significant amount we had already spent, we were told that because some time had passed, we would need to pay the full replacement cost again. We were also kept waiting for a long time. When we asked the office manager to provide her full name and sign a written explanation so that we could follow up with the corporation, she declined to do so. I found this lack of transparency concerning. We ultimately decided to leave because we no longer felt confident in the quality of the work or the level of professionalism at the office. Although we were told that the denture could not be repaired, we were able to have it repaired at another dental office for approximately one-forth of the price we had been quoted for a replacement. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we lost confidence in the quality, and professionalism of this office.

Very disappointing experience with Western Dental in Poway. My 78-year-old mother paid a significant amount for an implant-supported overdenture. The lower denture was made very thin around the implant openings and broke within only a few months. Western Dental repaired it at no charge at that time, but now it has broken again. When I recently asked whether they would repair or replace it without charge, or at least offer some financial accommodation, I was told no. I also asked to speak with the manager. A woman who identified herself as “Hilda” would not provide her last name and refused to give me a written explanation, with her name/signature, of why the denture would not be repaired or replaced at no charge. I was simply told to contact corporate. My mother is elderly and currently has medical and GI issues, so being without a functioning denture directly affects her ability to eat. I expected much more transparency, compassion, and professionalism in handling this situation.

Place looked older and dirty. Not a good first impression for someone who's about to have you digging around inside my mouth. Lol! Man behind the desk didn't seem to know what he was doing, couldn't answer my questions when filling out the questionnaire, and wasn't friendly at all. He never smiled, didn't even look me in the eye, gave only short answers, seemed irritated and impatient. Someone else walked in while I was waiting and was told, "We don't have you booked for today. You have to come back Monday." The customer said, "I just booked this appoint yesterday because I'm in a lot of pain." The man behind the desk just repeated, "You have to come in Monday." The customer was very patient and forgiving, didn't argue but simply said he couldn't do that. So they agreed on 9am Tuesday. Then the customer leans over the counter and says, "Does that say 11am?" The office person says, "Yes, your appointment is Tuesday at 11am." 😵‍💫 That's when I walked out. Maybe he was just having a very bad day, but it wasn't my day to give them a try. 🤪

Dr. Moreno was phenomenal with my 14-year-old daughter who has been evading getting a root canal treated for about a year now. He was patient and thorough As was his assistant Sherein Farag. I walked out of their offices, just now saying that I wanted to jump for joy and shout that we were able to accomplish it there. Also, the whole reason we Made it this far with the treatment is because the front office manager/care coordinator. Hilda is a wonderful person and has assisted us with kindness through the entire process. THANK YOU ALL!!!

Writing Very rude service and an unprofessional doctor. I felt extremely uncomfortable during my visit. It seemed like the staff cared more about money than the patient’s health and well-being. I truly hope the management pays attention to the many negative reviews and takes steps to improve the overall patient experience. This review is for the Poway location

I am so angry... I went in twice to the Poway office. The first few times I went to set up to have two extractions done. I was somewhat stressed due to some work at another office that was quite traumatic. I felt pushed into a financial corner, in which I was asked to sign a payment contract that would include interest. I was told the total cost (minus the interest) of the procedure. I was told they could do it that day, but because of the finical part, I said I would make another appointment. I went in and was given a packet to go through an sign where indicated. There was one page that puzzled me. It described what the bone graph was and how blood would be drawn from me to combine with the graph. I have no problems with having blood drawn, but what bothered me was nothing was said to me. I went back to the desk and asked the staff about it, and she said I didn't have to do it but if I did it would extra. I was quickly becoming irritated as the plan had already been planned out and what was going to be done. The last straw was when I heard another patient ask how much longer it would be as she had been there already a hour and fifteen minutes. She was told another 2-3 hours I verified it with the staff and when she said yes, I told her I wasn't going stay. I grabbed my driver and we left. This puts me in a rather stressful place, I have to find another surgeon and take more time out of my schedule.
